You Rock! Eldon was right a few comments back, you know. You DO represent America to those Brits around you. Thank God you do such an awesome job of it. Now, if I could just convince myself to follow your example and be 20, thin, carefree again. Sigh. You're the me I wish I had been at your age. Share!
Life looks good up north! Hey Sara, my Dad told me you have a travel blog. Glad to see you're having fun up there. I just had a friend visit me here in Morocco from London. It's not far if you feel like taking a break from English speakers! Keep us posted on your adventures.
Love,
Heather
"England" hot "England" hot is, what, mid- seventies fahrenheit? That's what I set our house air-conditioning at. I hear the English roads melt at 90 degrees. Just for comparison, we hit 109 yesterday. Gasp.
Blogs is cool I am REALLY enjoying your blogs! I am reading and rereading them, even if I am not responding very often. (My "hunt and peck"keyboard technique is extremely time consuming.) Keep them comming anyway.
Beer and baguettes in backstreet cafes, gad, Briton is so cool! You have discovered ALE, your Dad is so proud. I am so pleased with what you are doing. I think about you all the time. In fact, I think I will go now to my tree-hanging chair-swing on the deck by the pool and think about you in Briton. (What a combination!!) Love you much.
Oh, yeah Nothing trivial about good English ale, is there? The trick can be staying vertical after drinking one on a hot day. On the other hand, prone provides a wonderful view of the lovely English sky........
You sound like you're having such a great time! I'm so glad. (And super jealous, btw.) I hope you don't love it so much that you plan to stay forever. Some of us would miss you. Probably not barista Tim, but he's tall, so... Anyway, I *heart* you in the face.
Miind the Gap.
Travel Blog Sara: What a wonderful place to be, especially now ... we have ungodly temperatures ~ 100's +. Thanks for sharing your travel blog with us. I'm looking forward to periodic updates! Have fun and will see you upon your return ... Meow!
pub The pub looks like a coffee shop here. Wow. Such a better society. Why can I only get beer in the United States in a place that is dark, loud, or both? And why does that beer then suck?
pics Oh God, Sara, that is the most beautiful campus I've ever seen. But why are you getting all gussied up when I'm not around? Oh well, you gave me pictures at least. Thanks baby. You're cute. :)
Eldon is to be ignored... What's with this half-pint stuff? Find a pub away from campus that has Old Peculiar on tap, get a full pint and enjoy. You'll know why they call it bitter and you'll also know why some people (me) want to lie beneath a tap with mouth agape.
I enjoyed the full frontal of the chapel -> sexy as all hell.
I'm trying not to hate you for being there and doing things like sitting on a lawn with ciabatta, cheese, wine, etc. and watching Hamlet.
Have fun, Sara!
Beer!!!! I don't think so. Young lady you are not old enough to imbibe(to absorb or soak up). You must watch you morals while in this country, as you represent all americans to those around you and the nation surley want you to be a grand example. Realize the shame you could bring on your mother. I never. Have fun.
ipod You know, I heard on the news yesterday that someone was walking along in the rain, and got struck by lightning because their ipod attracted it. Crazy, huh? The guy's ears started bleeding, and a hole was burned through his clothes where the ipod was sitting, but he survived. I don't want to scare you away from your toy or anything like that, but I thought you'd find it interesting. <3
Wow Indeed Mauma shared your blog URL with me--hope that's OK with you. The pics are fantastic. Do you feel all kinds of connections to, like, Druids and stuff being surrounded by such oooooolllllllldddddddd stuff? I eagerly await your next entry.
PS: Believe the tutor about the beer. It's much smoother, richer, more full-bodied, and higher alcohol content. Two of them could kick my butt when I first got to Europe.
