We found the escape hatch from work last Friday, picked up the Schnauzer Sisters from the groomers, jumped in the car and headed four hours down the M6 from Edinburgh to a gorgeous part of the English countryside - Shropshire. Its our first proper break together without our respective children and we opted for a quiet, quaint, and quirky location to rest our weary bones, kick back and mentally prepare for the mayhem and madness of the forthcoming summer holidays. Gobowen is a little village close-ish to Shrewsbury and we are staying about 2 miles outside of this in an ex stately home called Henlle Hall.
