So i have advancing research quest today, i had decided that i was getting my round the world ticket from trailfinders, that i should see if they also do visas. Well they do have a visa service and i discovered the visa company i had originally picked had led me up the garden path and it turns out i need my Nz and Oz visas 11 months before my 31st bday. Which basically means i would need to start my Nz visa today and then i found the medical stuff you need for the Nz visa is through a medical service that the Nz government pick and i couldn't use my own GP. So i could shell out a small fortune and the visa could be delayed and i would end up with nothing, so i ... read more

Why is it days off work seem to go so fast, my tour will vanish so fast as i wont be working...........lol and then i have the rest of my working holiday visa in NZ to finish off,but that wont be proper committed work, as i will try to have as much fun and as little effort as possible....lmao Well this week i couldn't resist the urge to go out and spent some of my cash i should have been saving and went out with my housemates to catch a friend of a friends band. I had mentioned in an earlier blog my Friend Paul and his wife Gina who are having a ball in Japan....well they have been keeping tabs on my blog and Gina provided the following snippet of info on the whole cash card debate:- "Read in your blog about the post office card - don't do it!! there are loads out there and the one we've ended up with is from www.cashplus.co.uk it's a mastercard gold card and the charges are less than that on the post office card and if you have online bankng with your bank you can transfer money directly onto it from there. also have a look at www.splashplastic.co.uk that's only a meastro card so not sure if it would be any good but the charges on there are almost nothing!! whichever ... read more

So now we are in April, my mind turns to my Aussie working holiday visa and my New Zealand working holiday visa, the reason i need to get these visa's now is because they both have an age limit for issuing. Basically the Aussie and New Zealand visas can only be issued to peeps between 18-30, however once you have the visa you can enter the country ok,the bad news is i am turning 31 on the 18th June this year and so i need to get both visas before i turn 31 and then i have a year to enter the country's and get the clock ticking on these visas. Basically both visas allow you to enter and exit as many times as you want as long as you enter the country before the 12 ... read more

Well today started off by answering questions on my ebay and checking out my potential profits and after i take off fees and postage i think i have made about a £150, which is good, as i went to Boston today and i bought some Salomon sandals for my Grand Tour and a Craghoppers waterproof jacket. The jacket normally retails between £120-£100 and i got for a steal at £37 and its in a khaki colour which will go with my other khaki/camo clothing........lol (My friend Craig keeps ribbing me about my camo and khaki stuff) and the Salomon sandals are normally £40 and got them for £16.99. My spending stop their....i seem to have a thing for hats and i got myself a new rip curl hat today......but it wasn't too indulgent as it was ... read more

Well its back round to Easter again, maybe its an age thing?..........but it only seems yesterday it was Christmas 2006 and now it is Easter. But on the upside it means the year will spin past i shall be on my Grand Adventure...........it started off as a Trip..........but one of my friends on Couch Surfers said it was more epic than a trip.................so i renamed it for her and well it does sound quite awesome.........i can say to people now.....hey im going on a Grand Adventure. Now i have no car (cost cutting for my Adventure), i had to suffer/enjoy the joys of British public transport, although truth be told, the trauma i expected did not materialize...............wow has Great British transport improved?.........perhaps i just had a good run and im not holding my breath for the return ... read more
