rig tour
Are you using your rig shower much? Or using the camp ground facilities?
15th July 2015

Showers
We're using campground facilities for showering. Even small campground showers are bigger than ours. Most, if not all, of the showers so far have been REALLY nice. Tiled floor to ceiling, roomy, shower head high enough for taller people. Why would I want to use the one in the rig? [wink]

Your father would like to differ with you!
Your dad does not agree that "see one old airplane, you've seen them all!" We enjoyed your pictures very much. You were able to see more of the capital grounds then I did when I was there eons ago. Hope you enjoyed your rest. Our love to you.

Song Lyrics
...where the wind comes sweeping down the plane. ???? No dear sister, it's PLAINS not airplanes!!! Oklahoma has PLAINS although I'm pretty sure they have airplanes too but not too much back when this song was penned!!!

Playground on the Lake

Day 18 - Playground on the Lake
Where are all the kids? It seems so wrong not to have a single kid/big kid on all that cool equipment. I do pity your rush hour drive in D.C. - ick.

Playground
I know! I guess that's what it looks like in the middle of the week. Hopefully it gets lots of use on the weekends. It looks like tons of fun though, doesn't it? I can see a certain group of boys (young and old) having a blast out there.

Long Bridge
That certainly is a long bridge. You would think that the power lines across would be a problem in Hurricane season. But maybe that's cheaper and more reliable than going under the water. The houses remind me of those in Louisiana when we were there. Have a great day. Love you.

amazing turkeys
Wow, amazing turkeys! How fun! Now to the history thing.....did you know that you/we have a man in your fair city who marched in the march from Selma to Montgomery? True. Steve met him and talked to him at Haggen's. There was even an article written about him. And Tuskegee--I've read a lot about that place and seen one of the movies. Would be interesting to see. Enjoy all the history in the NE--there's tons of it there!!! Missing you but know you're having a great adventure!!

reading blogs
just caught up with your blog. Laughing, and so glad you changed your route. That will be a good trip when the weather decides to be "normal.," Don't mean to startle you but Dad actually got the part for the hot tub and fixed it we hope. Still remains to be seen if it leaks. He's cleaning it now. GROSS! Then we will fill it and see what happens. Not going to heat it much but cool water will be great to sit in! Be safe. Enjoy your blogs so much.

I remember the guard rail, the little blue car (yes, most of the ones I remember were red), the gas pump and a bunch of those things!! Fun! Had not heard of this museum. Will have to go there if we ever get through that way again. Why were there two doors in the school? Boys and girls? or color....?

Two Doors
You know, that's a good question. I didn't see any explanation as to why. When you walked in, they had the classroom glassed off so you could see what it looked like. Desks arranged in two sections (left and right) with a big ol' pot bellied stove in the middle. Smaller desks in the front, larger in the back and a piano in the front right corner. Maybe the two doors were so students could get to their desks without having to go around the stove??

Living vicariously through you guys! Although, you can keep the heat! Loving the blogs, miss your sarcasm to death, Aileen! Love the pics, especially of Grand Canyon. Fun!

Fun
It's been great fun so far. I like that people can and are living vicariously through us. I think that's part of the reason I decided to do the blog.

You sure you don't have a kitty in your rig? Nah. I get it. The bouncy roads made the paper roll off. I am very much appreciating your blogging! Thank you!

Kitty Spirit?
A cat was the first thing I thought of when I saw it! The bouncing unrolled about half of what was there!!
