We arrived in the Pantanal, the wetlands of South America. It is the size of Switzerland, Ireland and Belgium put together!!! Currently the dry season so most of the water had dried up. Our accommodation for the next two nights was a hut with 9 hammocks on a ranch with horses and cattle. After Lunch we went to explore the Pantanal with our guide called Alex, a cowboy, he grew up on the pantanal. He went barefoot, had a cowboy had on, and a huge knife in a leather pouch... in just our flip flops we went through woodlands, with all the insects and ants biting our feet!!
