Wow. It has been so long since I've been able to blog. Partly due to inebriation, partly due to lack of internet. PARIS-MUNICH-PRAGUE-BUDAPEST. I have decided that I much prefer train travel when in Europe. Rock up to the station 10 minutes before departure, chuck your bags on the rack and chill out. Albeit it's 3 times as long, but it's worth it for the journey. This was promtly decided after our shuttle came to pick us up at 3.30am for a 7am flight in Paris, it was painful and so unncessary, but unfortunately a train was just not an option for our little adventure to the land of the beer. Now, I'd love to tell you how beautiful Munich is and how much I enjoyed the German sights but unfortunately all I can relay is ... read more

Ahhhh... J'adore Pari! Well, Paris is everything I had hoped for, and so, so much more. The beauty of Paris is just incredible. We arrived here via the train from Renne after a somewhat traumatic bustle to the station, in true Foale style we missed our train because we couldn't find the dropping off point for the rental car, the GPS shat itself and the directions to the car rental place were in French, albeit we made it in the end. We had to wait 2 hours for another train, stress levels were high, lucky I know how to say Blanc, when the waiters ask me what I would like to drink!! After a de-stressing glass of wine and an omlette, yes, I've decided that every cafe on every corner of every block in France sells ... read more

Bonjour!! J'adooooooorrrreeeeee FRANCE! What a beautiful country. Am yet to find anything that I don't just love, love, love about France! But first of all, just to recap, before leaving for France on Monday on the Eurostar mum, Alissa and I spent Saturday and Sunday having a 'girls' weekend out, it was fab! Saturday was spent wandering through the Notting Hill markets and then we found a new hair salon that had just opened so we all went in and had our mullets trimmed. I had a fringe cut in and am feeling so much better, it's funny how a new hair cut can lift morale! Anywho, we met the boys on the Thames, after we'd had a quick (aka expensive) shop at Selfridges, where a festival was taking place, once the whole clan was together ... read more

I've been to London to visit the Queen! Ola! Well it has been a while between blogs but rest assured I am alive and well and we have been doing soo many activities. Alissa, Sam and I went to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace on Saturday which was such fun. I am very much looking forward to heading back to Lizzy's pad in the winter to get a closer look as there were sooo many people around it was impossible to get a good pozzie. The gaurds did look very dapper in their costumes though, I love! We then took a tour around Lizzy's digs to see where she hangs her hat and such. We got to see the state rooms and the gardens and where she does her fancy-smanshy knighting people ... read more

Jello! We have been doing so many activites since we arrived. Yesterday we were knee deep in sequins, hot pants and feathers. The Notting Hill Carnival. And.it.was.amazing! I loved it so much, so much colour, the weather was perfect, the atmosphere was electric and the costumes were incredible. There was a whole lot of booty shaking (not on my part) and some great dj's leading each float. Just another example of the many wonderful ways you can spend your time in a city like London. The day before we went to Cambridge for some punting. Manya pun' followed our journey. Amazingly enough the English do not really appreciate the Australian humour but don't worry, we well entertained ourselves with our shenanigans on our hour long punt trip. Punting consists of a long boat (which we found ... read more

The sun is in the sky oh why oh why would I want to be anywhere else? The sun is in the sky oh why oh why would I want to be anywhere else? Yes Lily, oh why? Today was spent riding the tube (not a train, not a subway!!) wandering across the Tower Bridge. Snapping up the Tower of London. Strolling through Borough Market. Tubing to Westminster. Squealing at Big Ben. Awing at Westminster Abbey. Strolling down Victoria Street. Losing Sam on the tube. Making my way to Colliers Wood. Dinner at Nandos. Drinking at the Tup. Home. Sleep. Do it all again tomorrow? I think so. Why oh why would i want to be anywhere else?... read more

HERRROOO! Well, we have arrived in London!! We arrived yesterday around 11 am, after leaving New York at 6pm the day before, arriving in Germany at 7.30am and then boarding another plane to London. After about 8.5 hours of travel and god knows how many time zones we were all sooo knackered. Thankfully Alissa was kind enough to scoot home after her flight and pick up her car so she could collect us when we flew in (she was on a different flight) which meant I could sleep on the back seat of her car for the ride home. Her flat is very lovely and homey, I even have my own little "british" room, which I love! I was in bed asleep by 7.30 last night and caught about 16 hours!! So today was a nothing ... read more

I heart NY. I dooooo... NYC is everything you expect it to be, and more. Times Square is amazing at night time. The different areas from Brooklyn to China town are incredible. Any day or night of the week you can have food from around the world and everything you want is within walking distance and if it isn't, a death defying cab driver will get you there in record time. A sad day today as we had to say farewell to Sarah and Nick this afternoon. Very bizarre to think I won't see them again until next year. Today Sarah, Nick and I went on the Gossip Girl tour around Manhattan, checking out the sights from the show and even where Penn Badgley lives in real life. We visited Bendels and the biggest Candy Shop ... read more

We are in the city that never sleeps. Unfortunately, we do sleep, a lot. Today we woke up at 1.30pm, thinking it was 9am (the time our alarms were set to go off), today was a lazy day. To say the least. However, we did managed to go out to see the Statue of Liberty, our ticket permitted us to a ferry ride and entry to the monument, although it was up around the 35+ degree mark and we were all so hot and bothered that we didn't get off the boat, we got some sweet snaps of old Lady Libs from the boat and stayed aboard, and we definitely got some sweet snaps in front of the Statue in our new Stat. of Libs foam crowns... ohh yeah. Once we got back to the hotel ... read more

Hellloooo from a very rainy Washington DC! We arrived last night after a four hour plane ride, I managed to score a whole row of exit seats to myself which meant I had a good three hours sleep! It's amazing what a three hour time difference will do to the body, who knew it would be so significant, I really struggled to sleep last night, especially because Vegas time meant that we weren't in bed until 3am most nights. Vegas was so much fun, yesterday we went out to see the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and took a few quick snaps, people hang about down there offering to take your picture and you tip them for doing so. The night before, Jess and I had a very delicious Caesar at Caesars Palace at approx ... read more
