Gene Tibay
When I say “mean” I meant “average.” As in the state of being of common quality among a given demography. Which is true, by the way, statistically speaking that is. I can state with confidence that I am just an average guy from approximately 1.22 billion humans currently inhabiting this place called Earth. And out of the thousands of guys who share the name Gene, I am just as average as any Gene can be. Yeah, I know. It would have been easier to just use AverageGene, but hey, I like how Mean and Gene rhymes. Plus, it makes good introduction.
Anyway, as the name implies, there is really nothing much I can say about my mean old self. I came from an average family from an average neighborhood of Manila, which is a capital of a common third world Asian country, the island of the Philippines. The second child of an account mother and warehouse employee father. I have a wife and a kid. I have a plain but reliable corolla that takes me to my 9-5 job. But note: here is the kicker, what makes me unique with the rest of the population is that in my eyes, I am a lucky husband to a beautiful wife; a father to a handsome little boy; a son to very loving, caring and hard-working parents; and a brother to loyal and loving siblings.
To cut this short, the main take-away from this introduction is what I offer to my future subscribers: a view of the world through the eyes of a guy as common as any person could possibly be.
So, hop on board as I take you along in my uniquely common adventure around the globe. I know you will plainly enjoy the ride.
