Saludos de Chiloe, Chile! Congratulations! Max, we met in the line of the bank in Antigua, Guatemala and now finally I had the chance to check out your site. Seems like we have been at the sames places :))
My trip continues to Bariloche fo X-mas and then to the Easter Islands. In January I am off to NZ!

Congratulations to you both Chris and Max - just wanted to drop a note to say congratulations, I have followed your blog with great interest, it was wonderful reading and fantastic pictures. Have a safe trip back and hopefully someday I can get more stories in person when I'm back in the UK - all the best - Ray....
Is that it?? Ill miss the stories!! Hi guys
What a fantastic trip - where next????
Always a new adventure to plan, when one finishes
Great job and glad you are all in one piece.
Look forward to seeing you in the flesh!
Love and hugs
Jo and John
Penguins Fantastic - what a great odyssey - it's been fun to follow. That scenery and wildlife reminds me of the Falkland Islands. It's a shame you can't get over there for the contrast
Jealous, jealous, jealous.. I haven't had enough of photos of large bodies of water and mountains yet, so please keep posting pictures for all of the remaining miles (just in case you were thinking of sticking your booted feet up). And I'm sure it feels like the end of the road, but any other year, a trip from Ushuaia up to the heady Lovely Airs would feel like an adventure. Or just another adventure, from your perspective!
Oh, and Slough still looks crap, even on a sunny day. The view is possibly being traded for Luxembourg next year (one of those pointless, boring Benelux countries, as it was described recently on the News Quiz, but nevetheless beats Slough).
Come back safely and having necked some great Argentinian reds (leave the interpretation of that up to you)

Tierra del Solent Did the penguins speak to you at all? Did you eat any of them, in the vein of your previous guinea-pig-kebab? There's an amusing Carlsberg ad doing the rounds again, with a penguin playing ping-pong - sort of like Stoz's "Isotonic Lager" - that I'll send you. And it looks exactly like the Isle of Wight - but with penguins instead of Cowes. I'll get my coat...
You've only gone and done it! So pleased for you both...although I think it a little selfish to finish and thereby deny me (us) of your wit and amazing photography of parts of the Earth I'm unlikely ever to venture to...can't you stay a bit longer (notwithstanding, Kendal, that I miss you!).
Can't wait to catch up. It really looks like it was the trip of a lifetime. And you're still together! ha ha.
Love ya, see ya, byeee (thanks for reminding me C)

Hi Chris and Max. I have really enjoyed your adventure thanks for sharing it with me. Enjoy the time you have left. Get in touch Chris when you get back.
Take care both of you.

The end of the world/road A brilliant and unforgettable achievment - pity the end of the world does not have an apocryphal medieval chasm you can look over. It looks a bit like lots of other places. We are all looking forward to seeing you back - thank you Chrissie so much for my birthday call and message. So sorry to have missed you. I was in Dublin for my birthday. Much love Ludo xxx
you're a long way from home... ...and you've definitely earned a few days in the pleasuredome. Congratulations on the whole trip, it has looked amazing -- and thanks for the vicarious thrills. I'll be raising a glass to you this evening -- bottoms up!
Hope to see you both soon. x
Chile willy? Well, you think you've had it tough: it was very windy and rainy on the Isle of Purbeck this weekend, I'll have you know, although there's no sign of the Swanage glacier yet for this year. Did you happen to go anywhere near Puerto Prat, or Canal Cockburn? Poor Chris. Go safely: not far now!
Let me ask ... I have several questions ...
1. are y'all crazy? I sure hope y'all have heated gear!!
2. Poor Chris ... what happened?
3. what kind of bike are you traveling on?
Ride safe, Alec
PS ... I am planning a ride to Mrytle Beach monday ... a lot warmer there and old 300 mile round trip ... meeting friends for lunch.
Tell Chris that he can open his eyes as his face seems to have come off better than the front end of his bike. Poor chap - hope someone offered him a lift on the back of their bike the rest of the way.
Glad that you are both still in one bit. The scenery certainly is spectacular when visible. Oh - and ask Simon about his glacier trek on which they didn't actually see any...
Love to you both

Are you Ewan McGregor in disguise? Looks pretty hardcore but amazing. I'm predicting that you won't ever want to get rid of the Beemer when you return. Does it have a name yet?
Give a 'big respect' to Christene. She has done amazingly well to still be with you (actually we haven't seen any pictures of her for a while? She is with you isn't she?
Have a fantastic final coundown and enjoy the Argentine Bubbly at the finish line.
Allez Allez!
Rich
Glad to hear you are still all in one piece. Looking forward to seeing you - although I'm sure you're not really looking forward to seeing us... its ok we wont take offence!
ice ice baby Amazing stuff, guys. That glacier is awesome. I can't quite believe you've only got a week to go -- it seems to have gone by in the twinkling of an eye. Enjoy the final leg and try not to get too cold. Do they do jugs of Pimms in Ushuaia?
Restaurant at the end of the Universe I can't believe you're so close to the end of the trip. The photos and blog have been inspiring.
One thing worries me - isn't it supposed to be summer over there?
I can't remember if Max is a fish-eater, but if you both like fish and seafood then here is a recommendation for you in Ushuaia. It's expensive for Argentina, but worth it to celebrate getting there. It's called Kaupe. kaupe 'dot' com 'dot' ar/ should get you salivating. Really fab wines too - the best that Argentina has.
What date are you back in the UK?
