Family Oh another great looking place to see and visit the purple house and butterfly are icing on the cake, and Arnies family seems so fun and all enjoyed each other and you....
Boondock Nice RV. I've overnighted at Palo Duro Canyon and visited Caprock Canyons State Park on my last trip going up to Colorado. I'm currently touring the Santa Fe area of New Mexico for a week and then will go to the Balloon Fest in Albuquerque.
Manitou Great pics! I lived in Manitou for one year in 2007/8 about a block from that bicycle. A bunch of my friends have been dealing with the recent floods. I miss Manitou. Such a great artistic community.
Christmas The lights are beautiful!
Right now it is early fall here in New Hampshire. The leaves are turning and it won\'t be long before they peak. I am looking forward this year (2013) to the Keene Pumpkin Festival. The Keene Area Branch of AAUW is running one of the seven Welcome Centers. (The woman in charge of the whole Pumpkin Festival--the woman who keeps it going--is a member of our group.)
You should plan to be here some year in the fall for some great pics!
Sounds like you are still having a great time. I know you must have been thrilled to spend time with family. I guess now you are traveling on. Be safe and God Bless you
Thanks Marty,
I love all of your blogs. You have had quite the adventure. Being from Michigan, I worked on the island and on a ferry boat summers during college. Lots of parties at British Landing on the other side of the island. And it was easy to run from the police who were on bikes. It is a very magical, beautiful and spiritual place. I always feel at total peace when in "the land of the great Manitou." I am still working at hospice and remember you and Arnie so well. Right now I am heading to MI via the Mississippi River via Minneapolis and MI's Upper Penninsula. Great pictures.
Michigan Very impressive. Makes me want to go there to see for myself. What an adventure! Love your photos--especially the one of the steps to some unknown place we can only imagine!
Janet on Mackinaw City I would not have come through the city without getting in touch! This blog is from last year--I got very lazy and got way behind!! Glad to hear from you, though!
Interesting article with colorful pictures Interesting and detailed blog. I wouldn't mind having a pair of those wooded shoes myself for wet weather. I wouldn't do much dancing in them so they should last longer.
Widowed in 2008, I decided to pursue the dream my husband and I had of traveling. I took to the road in a 24 foot RV and haven't looked back. I had three goals: visit all my numerous cousins, visit all the lower 48 states and complete my bucket list. To date, I am revisiting cousins and states, adding to my bucket list, making new friends and having a ball. I blog so I can have a journal not only for myself, but anyone else who is interested. I am madly in love with my digital camera and take hundreds of pictures. I started out with my feline pal, Sam, but lost him along the way. Cali s... full info
