My house
Mark, didn't know you were heading through Beechworth. You would've gone straight past my new house on Sydney Rd. The kids and I are moving in late January with my partner and her two girls.

Congratulations you four!
What a fantastic accomplishment to ride that far up those big hills, dealing with punctures, rough trails, rain, cold and heat! The scenery from the pictures was magnificent. So happy to have met you all. Maybe we will meet again if we visit Australia! Your friends Mike and Sandra.

Mike (and Sandra), the pleasure was all ours! Really, the hospitality and helpfulness shown by so many people on our trip has been a real highlight. If you ever get to Melbourne please let me know, The Amigos would love to return the hospitality shown.

Thanks Yama. The trail is behind us now, and in front is the Rocky Mountains, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Tattoo. Hell yeah!
Such an awesome idea. Here's some ideas. 1. Cog with usa map in the middle and 3000k 2017 in the middle of that. 2. A cog shaped like map of usa. With stuff in middle. 3. The classic. Right across your back . Or front. Bald Eagle on a bike being shagged by Skippy... Classic! BTW. Aussie Mates Riding Across AMerica. AMRAAM. fuck yeah. Hoo Yah! ?

Hi Francis, glad you're enjoying the blog. I and Jeff (Hilder) are on Strava, Tom isn't. Not sure about Dave.

you can do it !
Hi Amigos, Found your blog. You can do it ! Enjoyed reading and wishing you all good luck and smooth riding. PS. I will be in the USA soon, but unfortunately, looks like will miss you. Not sure if you are heading through Denver although that will be cooler riding for you than the southern route possibly and Grand Junction to Denver route I heard is spectacular. We'll be in an automobile, (how easy is that?) and we'll be in Vail around 4th July and Denver abouts up until 7th July (then we fly to New York). Do you have any idea what date you are scheduled to arrive in Baltimore? We expect you will all be in Tour De France shape by that stage. :-) Keep up the good work and blogging. Best Regards John Scanlon

Hi John, we're leaving Colorado tomorrow and continuing through Kansas. Might get to Baltimore on the 8th or 9th of July. Or Washington. Our plans are gelatinous.
