Was just thinking - what are your plans for Easter? We have nothing on, and were wondering if you fancied meeting up for a few days? We could fly up to Queensland and catch up with you on the road. Happy to tent it and leave you in the wicked van. Let us know if it's practical.
Hope you're enjoying Uluru and had a good time in Melbourne. Been smoking hot in Sydders - spent all day on the beach today - Row very impressed by the sand-hole. Also got some favourable comments from some passers-by (also regarding said sand-hole!). Kate - hope the hangover's finally cleared!

Put that rifle down, Kate! Nice to see you guys doin' a bit of work for a change, although I notice that the beer is never too far away! Sounds like an awesome experience! I could have done without that reminder of my self-inflicted injury, Kate....ouch, even 10 years later!!
Good to hear from you again. Its almost like Lent abstaining from enjoyable reading for the last while.and now well worth the wait. Of course I have already heard about the vastness of the farms out there thriugh your e mails home. had an uncle living out there years ago in a place called Boorowa. It was close to the Outback. Maybe its on your map. Look forward to hearing more of your travels.
happy birthday :-) I'm glad you had a good birthday kate, the photos are amazing! I've been following your blog for a little while (not in a stalker way!) and i've loved every entry, your route is very similar to the one i have planned for next year. I hope you both continue to enjoy every minute. Liz x
birdtastic Poor Pete didn't even get a look in with all the other marine wildlife to distract you!!
Birds of prey........ who does that remind you of?!! You know you love it G Child!
Tweedldee The opening photo was more like the cover from the telletubbies than from a preparatory rehearsal for swimming in the pacific. The photos as usual were fantastic and those of Mt Cook awesome.
The bottom of the world Fascinating to see the Franz Josef Glacier when one has read so much about it. And yes it was fascinating to see you experiencing climbing in snow and ice when Ed Hillary had just died. Great documentary on TV last week about the Everest Climb. I look forward to hearing about Australia.
I love the sunburn, the closest thing i've got to that is standing too close to the patio heater a few nights ago. I'm sure Pendry will also be thankful for the pictures of the forigen "Totty" ye posted from the show.
Boy in the bubble.... Mark - Hope you had the huge breakfast after the bubble ride! Talk about thrill seekers... I reckon you will both be able to get really cheap personal insurance when you come home because you will have already done all the daft things.
What excitements await us in the next blog? bmcm
Back on line Wonderful entertaining stuff to read Mark. After almost 2 weeks not being able to read of your travels it was great to read of the fun you had in your new travel pods. One of our staff was in New Zealand 2 years ago and she concurred with your comments on the place. I look forward( if I get to read it) to hearing of your balloon flight.
St. Mark! Hey Mark!...I'm about to initiate the process of your canonisation! Now you really know that when the Mc Govern girls want THAT dress, they really will go to the end of the earth to get it!! Like mother, like daughter..............
Loving your blog Lads

See ya guys

Snap! I just decided to look back over your blog entries to see which ones I had missed while my internet was down. Great piece here on Lake Titicaca and La Paz. Yes the photography was marvellous but especially interesting in that you took shots of the native people. I also happened to note that your dad made his comments on the very evening he was dining in the Olde Post Inn.
The Irish Connection Well done Gregory! It must have been quite difficult to write so eloquently of your adventures with the intrepid duo when much of your work previous concerned cavities and crowns. And also you had enjoyed the comforts of home before sitting down to write the blog. You managed to conjure up life in Santiago and its surrounds very well.Well done at the beginning of your trip, to have survived life in a new country without clothing or money. It would remind one of the immigrant Irish who landed in America in the 19th century, but then thank God for the internet and 'plastic'.
The Return After a number of weeks off line I return to comment on your travels Mark and Kate. Everything is back to normal here. Schools and traffic back to work. many thanks for the lovely prezzie at Christmas. It adorns my bedroom furniture.Well as you do say life after Gregory is 'a bed of straw' Great photography as usual and one would expect it to be more up and down but at least you stayed up. Great that you too enjoyed Christmas and look forward to hearing about life 'down-under'.
Mmmm! Your Christmas dinner looks scrumptious!! Very entertaining blog as per. Gregory did a super job of the last one too. In fact, I've saved that photo of you Mark with the gay sign on Mum's desktop (it may be there for years, or at least until you come back and change it!) Miss y'all XX
