Hello Again, We are still in Las Vegas! Spent a great day yesterday, using our bicycles to stock up on supplies and then hosting Nicole, Devin, Devin's mom, grandma and grandma's husband Robert for dinner. It was a beautiful night and we got to use the outdoor kitchen. During the day we spent time at one of the 3 pools here. It was a big beautiful pool with two hot spas nearby and there was absolutely no one there! We had the whole area to ourselves! We will prepare to leave today and hopefully be off early tomorrow for Indio. Of course, I plan to visit a huge local store today -- Boot Barn! Check out our pictures. Marc and Joyce... read more

Good Morning Friends and Family, We continue our stay at the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort and are thrilled as we discover more of the amenities of our site. The outdoor kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, a sink with hot and cold running water and a garbage disposal. Also a grill with an extra burner. There are lights under the tiki umbrella and all around the granite surfaces. We cooked breakfast outside today (Spam and eggs) LOL. Last night we had dinner at the Grand Lux inside the Venetian on the Vegas Strip. It was great to spend time with Marc's daughter Nicole and her boyfriend Devin. They were great tour guides. Tonight they will come here for dinner with Devin's mother and grandmother! Can't wait to use our outdoor kitchen again! The weather is perfect! ... read more

Hello from Sunny Las Vegas! Actually, not so sunny today, partially cloudy and only 65 degrees! We are now in Pacific time which was a surprise to use last night when my iPhone 6 did not update the time! The Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort is awesome and luxurious. I have included some pictures. The site has a build out which is an outdoor kitchen with a granite bar, refrigerator, grill, and lots of glitzy lights! Awesome. The resort has several pools, a spa, a fitness center and lots of beautiful sites. There is also a restaurant on the property. We are in close proximity to many stores, etc. We will be chilling here until Thursday when we move on to the final destination...Desert Trip 2016! May catch a show on the strip while we are here! ... read more

Greetings from Majestic Utah Trail Country! When I booked us into the Richfield KOA, I had no idea that the park was located in the center of Utah's Trail Country! On Friday evening I had mentioned renting an ATV and of course Marc was all over that. On Saturday morning I inquired at the camp office and they gave me a contact. He was totally booked, but recommended another contact about 45 minutes away. Marc called him and he agreed to deliver us an awesome ATV. He was here within an hour! We packed lunch and wine and lots of warm clothing and we were off onto unknown trails by 12:30 pm yesterday. Needless to say, this experience was way out of my comfort zone but little did I know how much I would love it ... read more

Good morning from the Majestic State of Utah! Yesterday we traveled almost 350 miles from Eagle, Colorado to Richfield, Utah. My words cannot really explain or describe the incredible beauty that we experienced as we drove across Colorado and then Utah on I-80 West. We drove through incredible canyons and up and down mountains. I hope that the pictures that I attach will do it justice, but it is probably not possible. The natural sculptures appeared to be castles in the sky in all the colors of rock that you could ever imagine! Today we are taking a break in Richfield and we will try to rent an ATV and venture out onto Utah's trails. I will report more about that tomorrow! Miss you all! Marc and Joyce... read more

Colorado Rocky Mountain Hi! Wow! Yesterday we traveled from Big Springs to Sylvan Lake State Park in Colorado...but not without some drama! As the altitude was increasing steadily, we climbed to over 11,000 feet, the RV struggled a bit. Joyce wanted to turn around and head for lower ground! But after major consultation with DJ and the Motorcoach, Marc convinced her that they could make it to Sylvan Lake without a problem. He was right, but we had spent a great deal of time turning around and assessing the situation so by the time we reached Eagle, Colorado it was after 6 and we still had to make our way up to the park which was only 15 miles but was slotted to take an hour. We turned up the road and took the slow climb. ... read more

Good Morning! We spent the night in Big Springs, Nebraska at McGreer Camper Park which was advertised as a working farm as well as an RV campground. Joyce thought this would be fun for Marc because he is a farmer at heart, but she was not prepared for a cattle farm that lies right alongside of the route I-80 West! The flies were the first clue that this was a working farm! The pics don't really do it justice. But, as we are discovering, there are always positives when you are RVing! The farmer's wife, Nita, was lovely and tried to find every possible way to provide us a discount! Also, she talked to us a bit about their farm and the industry as a whole. Since we had passed a stockyard down the interstate, it ... read more

Greetings from the Cornhusker State! Nebraska is 430 miles across so we will be staying in Nebraska again tonight, even after driving over 4 hours today! Lots of corn and lots of windmills. Last night we stayed at Camp A Way in Lincoln, Nebraska, a quant little campground nestled between I-80 and several other major interstate highways! Needless to say, Marc was not impressed, but it was nice and clean and the people we meet everywhere are wonderful. It is amazing how many "full timers" we have met. These are couples who have sold everything and now live in their mega RV's! We are headed to Big Springs, Nebraska today, population 400 according to Wikipedia and our good friend Lynn! She asked me, "What will you do there? Well, maybe they have a saloon." Please check ... read more

Greetings from Iowa! Yesterday we visited US Adventure RV in Davenport, Iowa. They were awesome! They got our coach in and fixed the slide issue so we could move on to our destination at the KOA Des Moines West. While we waited we toured a 45 ft, 2017 Winnebago Grand Tour. Heated floors, two bathrooms, king sized bed and 3 TVs, were just a few of the amenities! OMG! As we now know, KOA campgrounds are awesome! We have a short drive to Lincoln, Nebraska today, so we made the breakfast of champions- according to Marc! Many firsts for Joyce too! Opening a can of Spam labeled "best by Nov 2013," sliding Spam out of the can, slicing Spam and cooking the Spam in a frying pan on our outdoor grill! (Definitely didn't want Spam smelling ... read more

Good morning friends and family! Today we are riding down route 80 west in the heartland of this great country! We are immersed in corn...and not just because I'm sitting next to Marc! RV life is great because when you arrive at your destination, everything is set! Last night we had appetizers outside and strolled down the deserted road through the corn fields. Marc had a shocking exchange with a black angus steer. He couldn't understand why the big guy wouldn't come close to the fence. Turns out, the 4 legged bovine was smarter than the 2 legged goalie! The fence was live! YEOW!!! Had salad, spaghetti and meatballs and sausage and, of course, good wine for dinner. Quiet, lovely evening in North Utica, Illinois! Check out our pics!
