melodeon and murry canal drop in first swim and it flooted above and on water first time in its life time that i new as melodeon went swimming in the murry canal is my first vision of franks hard work and all his efferts off work and tyoil and scronge parts and material reminds me of the day frank and I went to the scrap yard in Florida and frank had real sore foot. North Carolina vero beach. It was a great experience for me and lea.
Byron, thanks! I remember you being there supporting Frank with tremendous help always, with trailers and cradles and you name it. Hope you can come for a good sail soon.
On the Water Again (sung to the tune of On the Road Again) Melodeon is looking really good after all of the work you and your volunteers put into her. I'm looking forward to following your blog.
Password HELP! We're back and would like to continue our blog. I've change my email and lost my password. How can I log back onto the blog and start up again with the travels of MELODEON?
Thank you TRAVELBLOG! That was the most painless password recovery possible. The worst part was my dread of trying. Also, the new photo handling is a total breeze! Thanks for making this such a user friendly service.
Aloha You have met our other cruising buddies Barb and Mike in Shelburne. Glad you are safe and having a good time. Enjoy.
We're in Steamboat Springs, CO for about 6-8 mos more and then headed someplace else to have fun....just not sure where that will be yet.

Nearly home So do you guys plan to make Nova Scotia your new home? I think you might have been talking about that at some point... I hope we see you in Ontario still sometimes! I guess Robert and I will have a good reason to visit the east coast. He has never been there except in the truck one time. We picked up a load of potatoes in Newfoundland. Mostly these days we drive back and forth across the prairies so not seing much of Charlotte either. Wishing you a wonderful crossing! Love you, Elizabeth xxoo
Safe sailing...homeward bound! As you and Frank complete the circle, I'll be thinking of you and hoping for fair seas. Looking forward to the landing...or is that docking?

With a crew of 3, Frank, Chris and Ginger Bear, MELODEON left Fraser Park Marina in Trenton, Ontario, Canada in 2009. Like many aquatic snowbirds heading south, MELODEON voyaged through the Erie Canal, the Hudson River, the Atlantic ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway until reaching sunnier shores in Florida and the Bahamas . 2011-12 is MELODEON's third cruising season, with the last two trips spent lingering in the sparkling waters and peaceful havens of Grand Bahama Island.... full info
