The picture of the gas pump and handle made into a stork were very interesting! I also liked the beautiful countryside with vineyards in the foreground!!! You need to tell what each picture is still! We are awaiting a thunder, lightning storm and some rain, hopefully! Last night was really a good show of big lightning and warm temps. Have fun at your friends in Germany tomorrow! Lots of love, Sharon

Enjoy
Hi Guys, Nice to see you both having such a good time. We just got our computer back, so good to caught up. We have people here from Denmark right now, took them to the cities on Sat to the farmers market and on the lock tour on the Mississippi at St. Anthony Falls. They will be with us again next week for some fun at the lake. Hope to go to Europe again. Mike is now Dr. with his feet. Trying to stay cool. Blessings Barb

Food pictures
It was totally awesome to hear from you today. Great photos! As they say in Berlin, muy bueno! But I have a photo request. I would like to see a photo of a nice plate of pork hocks (i.e. Schweinshaxe) und sauerkraut. If not that a plate of Rahmen Puten Schnitzel will do. Gracias.

A week
Hi Low and Glo! Good blog and pictures! I can just taste those pastries! How much would one of those be- like the chocolate one with berries on it? The bear and bubbles is so cute! One thing I noticed is the beautiful handwriting on their storefronts and signs and ads! It doesn't seem like it has been a week already as we miss you and think it seems longer! It is very hot here today, about 90 at 4p.m. Think the monsoons are over until maybe Sun. which I like! I see Gloria had a warm jacket on so is is very cool there? Glad you are going to see Germany. Might as well take advantage of the car and where you are in proximity. I had my Stonecroft luncheon at Heddles today and did the decorations with another gal. It turned out very cute and was a good speaker. Sadly the turnout wasn't as good as expected, but it is summer and people are busy. The kids have swim team in Montrose all weekend, so we will go see them tomorrow after the Deltarado parade and car show. Kendra rides in it again as princess and then rushes to Montrose to swim! Well, guess that is all for now. Take care and lots of love. Sharon and Ed

From Gloria's outerwear, I'm guessing it's a might bit cooler in France than it is in Cedaredge! I think maybe your week seems like a month because you pack so much into each day. Love and blessings...we miss you.

Enjoying your blog
Mom & Dad - I'm enjoying your blog. I read it everytime you post. You've missed lots of rain here in Colorado since you've been gone (at least on the front range). Really glad to hear your GPS has been working well for you. Be safe. Jeff.

Alsace
Hi you two! Have been looking forward to your emails and pictures! Looks like a lovely area and have heard the name from somewhere about wine or maybe when we were there during World War II??? Imagine the Mercedes Benz plant would be really interesting and hope you get to go. I got your email this morning Gloria! I was wondering what the time difference is from here. That jet lag is hard to get over am sure. Hope you can manage without the car charger and that it isn't too hot now without the air. Hope the accomodations work out o.k. both ways. You just never know about people. My sister in Calif. got the place in Laguna where we went for my mom's memorial through the home exchange and they did the hospitality thing and we just couldn't get over someone doing that at the beach and such a beautiful place! She didn't want to exchange or charge for it, so we bought them a case of very nice wine and left it there. It sure has been weird here with the monsoons! Last night was the biggest thunder, lightening, and rain I have ever been in. It went on for at least an hour and kept us awake, but sounded so good! It is because it is so warm even with the cloudiness I guess. So far it is only 80 at 1p.m. so that would be nice if it would stay like that. We went to the Little Britches parade at noon yesterday as Kendra rode her princess thing. It was very tiny, and even Julia got to be in it and walked their dog Merle. She had a tutu on and put one on him too, and he didn't seem to mind a bit! At the end the firetrucks hosed us down good and felt kinda good with the heat! We had our friends Jack and Penny Brown over for dinner last night. We never see them anymore if we don't just make a plan to get together. They go to GRand Mesa Baptist and live by James and retired from Calif. also. Talked to Elaine yesterday and her brother and wife just had gotten back from Calif. and said each day Jerry seemed weaker. He is on a blog from caringbridge with updates on his condition which will make it easier for the family not tohave to be on the phone to everyone. The address is caringbridge.org/visit/PastorJerryZanstra Had a good service at naz.this morning though our pastor was preaching up in Gateway mountains so his son in law who is studying to be a chaplain preached. Looking forward to being at F.H. since we haven't been there for 2 weeks! Our chair arrives tomorrow so hope it is good and we can be done with all this! Well, enough of my stuff, have a great week and hope you get to do lots of hiking and relaxing too! Love and miss you! Sharon and Ed
