back on track hey lizz,
travelling again has brought the wonders with it, including my curiousity in other people's adventures. I´m glad to 'catch up' with you and what you've been up to. As always, a witty and shining writer. I hope your new bed in buenos aires brings sweet dreams! cuidate,

awwwwww lizzzy you just made me teary eyed with that one! i know exactly the feeling you are describing. it is the feeling that used to well up in me every time it snowed and there was a shadow of a hope that we would get sent home from school. its something like elation. now i get an inkling of that feeling whenever there is a good thunderstorm!
Me too I often want to run away and start a new life when I find myself in an interesting spot. I look in windows and imagine what life must be like for the people who's lives I'm glimpsing, and I wonder if that life could/would ever be mine. The answer is pretty much always no, but it puts me in a...special place to think about it. By the way, the picture of the boxes is rad. Way to capture natural light, and there is so much tone and texture, and your colors have awesome exposure.
you vs rick steves seriously lizzZ you need to publish your travel blog and get money to go to other places and write about them. especially this last entry with all of the play by play intermingled with the personal reflections on local interactions. you do good
lovely memories Yes I felt that way too when I was in Montevideo. We also tried to get into Las Misiones but were very sad to see it closed like you had. I too took a photo of it closed as a very small concession for my thwarted efforts. chau
i'm sorry, so sorry... to have marked you for life this way. i remember that day...thought you made a deliberately poor likeness of the apple so i would do one for you. but you are an artist in expressing yourself with words and photos.

empathy Hi LizzZ,
I was happy to see a new post from you pop up on Bloglines after a long break. In a brief fascination with BsAs, I ran across your blog some months ago and was taken by your ability to poetically turn a phrase, intentionally and otherwise (bad spelling can sometimes work out well!), and have been a reader since. You're living one of the many lives I wish I did live...the life I have is quite fine, but the realm of possibilities is large and there will always be more paths not taken than taken.
While you don't know me from Adam, I know your through your writings - one of the sorta creepy but inevitable side effects of keeping a blog like this - so I find myself caring how you're doing. So here's a wish for you to find your way out of your current funk.
Damn, the food sounds good.
Dreams I had a dream that my dad got cancer. My brother called me and sighed "hi" and I asked "What's wrong?" He got angry with me because everyone in my family already knew that morning, yet it was night and I was just finding out...
just read it... Can't believe I'm just reading this. But I can't think of anything to add to what others have said. Hope the "blue funk" has passed. (not to be confused with the pink, glittery cloud Kittofer's birthday card referred to)
Heckling.... Good things happen sometimes when you step out of your comfort Zone... Glad you got passes to the premier, sounds like you really enjoyed it, and you look great in the pics.. you have grown into a beautiful young woman Liz. Now, hope you get to teach English classes to Leo, he seems like such an interesting person.
Movin' on up That is great that you are starting to get more connected to the world you are interested in. Just remember, the beautiful people aren't really. Man cannot improve upon the beauty of nature, only mar it. But it sure can be fun to bob and weave through the busy streets of popular social sector. Enjoy it.
PS - it is a confusing syntax error to precede an amount in pesos with a dollar sign
Good Luck Good luck and take care. Home is simply a state of mind. If there is love and happiness anywhere can be home, no matter how temporary or impermanent. Returning with a positive mind is all you need.
stayloose
