good to hear from you Glad you both are doing well and have decided to stay in Bali while the US gets itself back on it's economic feet. I have enjoyed your blogs; you might consider writing comedy travel guides if you get real bored. jeff
Julia Roberts There is already a buzz going on here about the upcoming Julia Roberts film based upon the book Eat Pray Love, part of which is centered in Ubud. I am guessing that this movie will change Ubud forever and not in a positive way. I imagine this will catalyze even more commercial "development" and new vacation houses there. Paradise doesn't last... treasure each moment you have there. Could be an investment opportunity though.

live the life good on you guys. Big envy coming your way from China! Me and Celi are actually off to Indo in just over a week - but to Sumatra, if you fancy another island then head up, would be great to see you again.
Hi guys, good to hear from you! Hi guys, it's always a pleasure reading you (I love the way you write, did I tell you???)
We didn't know you were still in Bali!
We were in Bali ourselves in September!
We stopped over 1 week on our way to diving in Labuan Bajo.
If you want to see one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen let me know, I'll give you the directions!
Diving Komodo is simply amazing...
Take good care, ok?
A hug from me and Andrea!
XOXOXO
P.S. Next September we'll be back in Bali... ;-)

Iron Cross Rocks Yeah Iron Cross is brilliant (the real thing) amongst heaps of other telented musicians in Burma. I bought a large stack of Burmese music when there, absolutely love it. I'll be sure to buys more if I'm ever there and hope to go to some concerts.
Nice farmer tan I have been enjoying your blog so far. I'll miss them as they become less frequent. Can you guys receive pics through the blog? I'd like to send you a pic of my wife and I. I was waiting until you got back in Oct. to have you guys meet but since it won't be 'til 2010 I will send a photo.
Balinese Life Hi Lisa and Toby,
Great to hear you've settled in a lovely place for now. I'll have to talk to Greg about coming over since you will be there until 2010....your travel blog is always a treat to read. You've inspired us to visit some of the wonderful places you've shared.
Hugs and have fun in Bali, Dawn and Greg
What Up! Been reading the blog for a year and thought I might write at least once. It is always great hearing from you and learning of your adventures. I thought you were returning in June but your mother says plans have changed a little. Write and update us on your new plans.

Thingus I loved the photo of that rare specimen Anotherus Weirdium Thingus! It took me forever to find a reference to it in my copy of "Rare Fauna Almanac of the Unexplored"
Very cool
Another set of weeks in paradise? Love your continual travel log of adventures in the Far East - now we know what places to visit and ones to skip thanks to your awesome travel summaries of each country/island. Cheers to when you come home...is that soon? Happy travels, Dawn
food Your making me hungry with this post. Can't wait to try your new recipies. Sherri has been making these awesome vietnamese veggie and chicken rolls with the clear wrap and peanut sauce. Hey, in case you haven't heard last week was a bad week for celebraties. Farrah passed away, as did Ed McMahon, Michael Jackson, Billie Mays, and Steve McNair (was shot). Your probably better off touring the world, but I think people in the states actually kinda miss you guys :).
Thai Cooking Lessons Yum! All the eating of that wonderful food - sounds like my kind of place! That is so cool that you took cooking lessons!!! I would love to do something like that! And as for meditating in a triangle - what's wrong with circles? Or parallelograms? Geez! :)
Thanks, as always, for sharing!
Glad to hear from you two tree dwellers! Great to hear from you guys. We were just talking last week and again last night at the Pudwill's about how we had not heard a peep for a while. The rat tailed lizard is a weird one. Love the coverage and additional pics. Looking forward to drawing on your Asian culinary expertise. Please take care of yourselves and watch out for North Korean scuds they could end up anywhere!
Whatz Up Hi guys, love getting my updates on your adventures. I've missed that little piece of info on when you will be coming back. Did you decide to stay on for another year?
The eel is a snowflake eel, usually find em at petstores and petco fun little guys to have in your tank, they are non aggressive towards small fish and inverts as long as u keep them fed :)
beautiful fishies though
myanmar cigars great stories, from the dirt ball, to the home-made cigars. Good seeing photos of you guys, you look pretty good considering everything. Hope to see you in the Fall!
Cheroots Those cigars, "cheroots," are not likely made from the usual tobacco plant. The inexpensive ones are made from the very round leaves, about 125 mm in diameter, of a woody plant about 2 m tall. You probably saw the plant while on your trek. The cheroots that I sampled while at Inle tasted fine, but different from the cigars available back home. Less aromatic, more weedy. You can see the round leaves in the rearmost basket in the photo at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheroot#The_Asian_connection
60 km! Wow!
By the way, thanks for the advice on Victoria Falls. We'll be exploring the Lower Zambezi.
floating vegies Wow that is an amazing way to grow tomatoes! I've always thought that if the roots don't dry out once in a while, the plant gets fungus. So much for dumb old round eyes!
I also like the jumping cats and the noodle club. Does that guy double as the sheriff?
