G'day Ladies and Gents How the devil are ya? Well, I've got to say I'm absolutely cream crackered. What a fantastic few days I've had since arriving and it really has been non stop. So last thing yesterday I was off to Taronga Zoo...... It did not disappoint! If you ever head to Sydney it's well worth considering. Arrived at the zoo - obviously I had the most luggage! Everyone else was from Sydney so literally had an overnight bag.. there's me large 20kg holdall, small suitcase and bag! Hilariousl Anyway, i was allocated tent 8, so we put our bags in the trailer and we began walking down to the campsite. Well g'day there my ol' fruits! How's it goin?! I must say I've been a busy bee... so where to start?? Well following my nap yesterday (was the best nap ever!!) i woke up to an amazing sunset. It was such a lovely day yesterday - about 26 degrees and with a sunset to match. I was still feeling a little ropey following the nap so I just popped down to Darling Harbour. I had a little mooch around the shops - it would be rude not to after all. We've a festival going on too with lots of street performers.... I watched a guy, who I swear was from the Swindon area on a bike balancing on top of a pole juggling! I kid you not! Also watched a really awesome street dancing acrobatic group. ... read more

Captains log... Currently in the holding pen waiting to board. Finally got my act together and went with flight bag option no 3!! Checked in all ok and said my goodbyes to ma and pa-bit tearful going up the escalator!! Through security and faffed around trying to get the laptop out of my overpacked bag! Beeped going through security so had to be briskly frisked by the lady in waiting and had to wait for a backlog of bags to clear. Panicked as saw on that con artist programme on sky people steal laptops from security belts but all good! Hawk eye was watching!! Ate the hottest chorizo sandwich that I only have myself to blame for and started reading twilight on my kindle! Still waiting to board but going on shortly. Well, there's 3 sleeps to go!! Wowsers it's come around so quickly. Had a lovely dinner with the family tonight after some panic packing action today! Why is it so hard to pack to go away?! I've possibly been a little over ambitious with the weather - but hey ho I can always buy a sweatshirt or two :) I'm going to try and update here every day whilst i'm away - also to let you all know that i'm alive!
