Busan Dude! How are ya Alexis? I was definitely in Busan for 3 days back in the beginning of November. I was in Pyeongtaek (took a day up to Seoul too) before that! - how far are you from there? I should be coming back eventually!
Haha..I love that you were trying to be inconspicuous at Jagalchi. I did that too - "Must look like I belong, must not be mistaken for tourist... oh, wait... I'm the only blue-eyed curly-haired person here. DANG." I think the trick is to get a really snazzy camera with all sorts of equipment so then you look like you're an important, fancy photographer and not just a snapshot-ing tourist. So what if it would cost $10,000??
Ha-Ha! why Ali, you left out most of the expletives that were included in our conversation...good thing!! Am loving all the beautiful pics! I will get clothes sent this week , I promise!Hugs, Ma
Glad All is Well Hey, Alexis.
I'm glad everything is going well. I really enjoy reading your updates (I'm actually a "subscriber," so I get a notification in my e-mail--pretty nifty, eh). It's nice to read something, well, entertaining every now and then.
Teaching is a blast. I know we're teaching kids in two totally different cultures and in completely different settings (although your grammar school students are probably much more excited than my football-crazed American college students), but, man... it's just fun.
Keep in touch, and try not to work too hard!
life in Yeosu Hi Als! Yeosu looks really neat! I'm glad to hear your first few weeks are going well, and it sounds like your host family is really special. Keep us updated!
xoxoxoxo
:) YAAAY for Yeosu being a happy place! I hope your students are smarter than mine... advice: if/when you go back to school, don't TA! It will make you wonder how society doesn't just rip apart at the seams and disintegrate.
WOW! This all sounds so amazing. I'm very impressed with your adaptation to the food.....I would definitely have issues with it. Well, classes start here on Thursday and I can't wait for Cocktails to get started next week. We miss you so much!!! Oh, and we finally have music up on our myspace page. Check it out for good memories! LOVE YOU!!
Hey! Hey! I guess today is the day of your arrival in your new home! :) I hope it goes well for you. Your pictures are neat.
I wanted to tell you (if you haven't been on Facebook lately, which has been my lazy method of communication with most people), that I'm engaged!! Bet you can't guess to who... :) Anyway, yay. Wedding is not until forever, of course. But maybe you'll be back from Korea by then :) I AM USING WAY TOO MANY EMOTICONS.
OK, seriously, hope all goes well and I'll be stalking your travel journal.
So you found time to sing! Dad was a little concerned when I told him that you met two Koreans and went to a 'private' room to sing it up....until I included that fact that the two Koreans were female!! Party on!!! Hugs, Ma
Hey honey, it's beautiful, and it sounds like you're having a good time. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself...I just wish you had a little more time for your friends!! Lots of love,
Kat
Great pictures of Dingle Alexis
What great pictures of the Dingle Peninsula! Are you a pro? You have echoed the words of friends of mine that are from CorkĀ If you are going to Ireland you MUST go to Dingle. My wife and are planning to go to Ireland from New Hampshire, US in June 2006. The pictures and your blog only added to the anticipation.
