Vacation is always an exciting time in the Woods household, we love to travel. Both of us are prior Navy so we've done our share of traveling around the world but being West Coast sailors, Europe is something altogether new to us, so the prospect of going to Paris the City of Lights was an opportunity we couldn't pass up. Thursday morning bags we're already packed, my bags had been packed since earlier in the week, I was ready to go. So I went thru the normal checklist, tickets, passport, passes to all the sites and euros looks like we we're ready to go. Day 2: March 13, 2012 On today's agenda me and Alonzo have a lot going on, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the 9/11 Monument but before we begin today's adventure we have get some breakfast. We both get up watch some ESPN and get dressed, time to head out on today's adventure. Good thing for us their are many choices to eat in the neighborhood so we head around the corner to the local IHOP to eat breakfast. When we walk in it's not too busy, a few people in there and we're seated right away by the nice hostess. After we seated our waitress a nice older lady with very strong Caribbean accent, I can't tell if she's Jamaician or not but defenitely from the Caribbean. During the most recent Spring Break, I decided to take my 13-year-old son to New York, the big city of dreams. Even though he is only 13, he is eager to get out and see all that the world has to offer. Right now he doesn’t have a passport so he is limited to the 50 states but that doesn't stop him from traveling coast to coast. Since he has already seen what the west coast has to offer in California and Hawaii, why not take a trip to hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.
