thank you
thank you so much for posting this, i have been looking for so long trying to confirm the story of the white tigers. a long time ago a japanese friend of mine told me the story, but i was very young and wasnt sure if it was true, or i remembered it correctly. The pictures are beautiful. I want to go to japan so badly, and hopefully with enough time and money i will. i have since lost contact with my neighbors who returned to fukushima-ken, but sorry for the long winded message, thanks so much for posting this, and i envy you so much for being able to enjoy such a beautiful country

Beautiful Spring
Spring has exploded into bloom here as well. The dogwood, wisteria and tulips are so colorful this year. I am glad that you got to go to the park and read amongst the grandeur. I wish those trees could stay pink for months instead of days. Happy Spring my love! LebdaWhen (Mom)

You make me smile!
Oh Kathryn - you do make me smile. I love starting my day with a Blog from Kate the Great. Sounds like Tokyo is as busy and wild as ever - that was certainly my opinion - but absolutely a fascinating place. Glad you had some biscuits and gravy, I would really like a hot steaming bowl of noodles from Sapporo right now. Thanks for the update!

The Dolls are beautiful Kathryn. What a fun, unexpected evening. You are so lucky to make wonderful friends while there. We need a special day every year for mothers and daughters here, of course when you & Megan are home, that is everyday. Miss you. LebdaWhen

kakunodate
Hi there, my Bf and I have been fascinated by this beautiful town and the Samurai way of life in the past. We understand that it is hard to find accommodation in the town of Kakunodate and have read online that it is best to book accommodation in Akita. can you recommend a budget place in Akita or anyhere nearby? Thanking you in advance. Ann and mark

Wow - the grave of Christ!
Hey Lebda, Dan Ott from St. Andrews here. Rooney passed this blog along to me. Pretty cool that you found the grave of Christ in Japan. I wonder what Jesus did for those 73 years that he lived in Japan? What's more - I wonder why I never new this most interesting fact about him????!!!!

Very Interesting
Very interesting Kathryn, I'm sure Uncle Joe will have an oppinion or two on the Grave of Christ. I do not think it will match up with his beliefs. Glad you had such great fun on the paddle boats. Hope that you gave Ridwan our best as well. Love you, miss you (for a whole year) LebdaWhen

Fog indeed
Your pictues are great - reminds me of the fog in SanFrancisco, now you see it - now you don't. But the scariest part of all was that crazy winding road Dad insisted on driving at 70 MPH. Can't wait to read the next blog. LebdaWhen
