rain rain rain
Sounds like Vancouver Island weather; not sure I'd want to stay there Laurene. Are there alot of people staying at the Hostel on a regular basis? I haven't heard anything yet about cleaning toilets, or have you failed to mention it???? Flu shots for H1N1 began today and they were lined up by the thousands. I hope you recover quickly from your cold.

Paved section on road
Hi Laurene, Slight correction to your comment. Ayer's Rock is in Australia, We in New Zealand do not have those sections of road. We have airfields for all planes so do not be alarmed about driving on gravel roads in NZ. That is just way senic road are over here. Adds to the experience I think. Cheers from NZ

EEL'S
hahahaha he was kidding about the eel's its to cold for them told us the same thing then confessed later he was joking, but did you get attactked by the mad bird while going from the barn to the entrance this lunatic of a thing kept swooping down on people in our group, but besides the cold and the discomfort its a brilliant trip, stoppping to eat your little cakes to stay full of energy and try get warmth with tea it was a lot of fun

Caves and Bunnies
Love those bunnies and bravo for doing the cave trek. Sounds awful actually. Funny what we will actually "pay for" to go through. hahaha Too bad you couldn't take photos down there. It was nice to chat with you last night, you sounded like you were next door. Tell me, do Newzealanders call themselves "kiwi's"? Is the fruit better there than imported ones here? Is it a multicultural community there? Good luck with job seeking. I hope you find something soon. Happy Thanksgiving Laurene, Gail

How about a close up of your new ear ring. Hope the rain clears up for you. It does put a damper on your activities and sight seeing. Great to talk to you on Thanksgiving. We missed you- and have saved you some turkey for your return to Canada!!!
