Leah(the canadian girl that I meet in koh phan gnan)and I arrived to Koh Tao yesterday morning in the first boat and managed to find a bungalow by the water quite cheap, although it is the worst place I have stayed so far. Very very basic, but you can just walk downstairs and swim in a turquoise sea. I guess that it is not that bad:) Koh tao is my favourite island of all the ones I have been to so far. Much less wild than phi phi and phan gnan, more chilled and really amazing clear waters. Yesterday was very relaxed, just sunbathing, swimming, and having dinner and drinks by the sea (literally, sitting on cushions on the sand in one of the multiple hip bars at sairee beach). The only downside of the island ... read more

As you can imagine, the day after a pool party in your bungalows advertised in the whole island is pretty lazy. Just eating tropical fruit, laying on the beach and watch the sunset by the pool. I actually would not mind that all hangover sundays of my life would be like this... Did not take many pics of the party, but it was quite something. Although we were not in the mood, the canadian girl and 2 girls from new zealand did our best to keep up to the loud music and the party mood of the rest of the people by sipping the infamous buckets. Seriously, worse than the calimocho (wine&cola) that I used to have in the university parties. Absolutely killer. Everyone was dancing to the VERY LOUD music, even in the pool. At ... read more

Hey all,I have not been updating my blog the last few days and now I somehow regret it because so many things have happened! ----------------- Hola a todos. No he estado actualizando my blog los ultimos dias y ahora lo lamento porque han pasado tantas cosas! --------------------------------------- Phi Phi day 2 was actually pretty good. I went on this snorkeling boat trip arround Phi Phi Ley (the island of the famous beach from the movie), and we saw an amazing sunset from the boat in the middle of the Andaman sea surrounded by these dramatic beautiful cliffs. Simply gorgeous. I also met 2 canadian guys from Quebec who were really nice (although the quebec french accent is so weird!) and we went later for a drink on the beach with candle lights. Perfect ending of my ... read more

Heat. Heat. And then a bit more heat. I arrived to koh phi phi this morning after 1,30 h by boat full of backpackers looking for sun&party, and all I can think about is... how hot is in here! Being spanish I thought I could cope with it, but I realised thta this is a different story. My bungalow without the fan turned on makes me feel like when I was inside the tent at 12 am at the benicassim festival.... (by the way, excellent place the one I booked, despite of the heat inside) ---------------- Calor. Calor. Y un poco mas de calor. Llegue a koh phi phi esta manyana despues de 1,30 h de barco lleno de mochileros buscando sol&fiesta, y todo en lo que puedo pensar es... que calor hace aqui por dios! ... read more

I left Chiang Mai after 4 fantastic and intense days and I am now in Krabi (aka among the travellers that I met so far as "crappy") town, a pretty uninteresting place in the south which is however in one of the most beautiful provinces in Thailand. I will stay here tonite and get the morning ferry to Koh Phi Phi tomorrow. For those who dont know what the hell is Koh Phi Phi (this goes in response to a comment), it is one of the islands on the southwest of thailand which was heavily hit by the tsunami, and also next to another island where the famous movie of "the Beach" was filmed. In short, supposed to be pretty close to paradise (if you dont look arround at the millions of tourists invading the place). ... read more

Back from my two days trekking safe and sound, exhausted and quite dirty.. But it was really great!! Before I start, thank you by the way to all for your nice messages!! (special kiss for Eduardo:-) I am happy that you are enjoying this blog, because after writting it sometimes it seems a bit dull...and I wonder who the hell would be interested in reading this? Well, this is reassuring because it means that you love me very much apparently:) Well, lets get back to the trekking or how not to be able to runaway from the Netherlands despite being 8000 km away from there. Yesterday some thai guy with a strange evil laugh (but really nice) came to pick me up to the guesthouse in a funny vehicle, where 2 more girls where already sitting, ... read more

Finally it stopped raining and I had the chance to see the Thai sun! It was such a nice morning and today it was the flower festival (apparently very big thing here), so I headed there with Alex, Charlene and Emilie to check it out. Quite interesting really, and exactly how I imagined it. Tons of stalls lined at each side of the road selling everything you can imagine, tons of thai people (and some dressed in traditional dresses) and, wild guess, tons of flowers. Evidently. Later, the three french (and only) friends left to head to Pai, so back to being on my own. I had a great time with the so far, so it was a bit weird to say goodbye, but I am back on my own and enjoying it a lot. Visiting ... read more

After 14 hours of flight, overall, I arrived to to Chiang Mai yesterday at 19 pm! During all that time, and particularly the 5 most boring hours of waiting for my flight to Bangkok in Helsinki, I was thinking that Thailand must better make up for the long time it takes to get there... I have only been for a day, and all I can say is that it sure does!

Muchos besos a tod@s, y hasta ... read more
