Today, my Forma Urbis class had a field study to the Colosseum, which was really nice because the Colosseum was also holding an exhibit, with statues, marble maps of ancient Rome and other things pertaining to the Colosseum, such as bones of exotic animals found inside it. We saw the Arch of Constantine, dedicated to the Emperor, as well as Meta Sudans, which was this large fountain that can no longer be seen. An aqueduct use to run to it to supply the water. Also, from the Colosseum, there was a nice view of the Temple of Venus and Rome, which was unique in that it had two separate cult rooms that were facing opposite each other.
