Thanks for your post. I really enjoyed reading - reminded me of many travel mishaps I\'ve had thanks to miscommunication. In fact I\'ve linked my most recent blog post http://beyonddisneytraveltips.wordpress.com/2011/11/22/when-mild-is-spicy-and-now-is-later/ to it under the keyword \"travel miscommunication.\"
Bus from Cambodia to Laos I am glad to to read your blog since I am planning to do the same trip together with my younger sister sometime in May next year. Can you please tell me more about your bus experience from Siem Reap to Vientiane? Where did you make the booking? Was it through the hotel/guesthouse or directly at the bus station? Can you please provide details about the bus company, their location in Siem Reap, etc. Do you suggest making a stopover in Pakse? Were you able to cross to Laos on the same day? Any information you can give us will go a long way in our planning. My e-mail is totoytubiera@gmail.com Thanks in advance for your assistance! Frankie

Thank you, Whitney... Thanks for bringing me the beauties of Cambodia as we begin to enter the dark, cold months in Austria. Your beautiful writing and your wonderful photos are probably actually better than being there! You bring the facts back, while letting me see these wonderful places as they are today. I appreciate the time you've taken to document your trip so carefully. You've created a treasure for all of us...
Reminders of the horror, Once again you have done a wonderful job in writing the blog, seriously start thinking of a career change when you return home. Thank you for the reminder of how horrific the war was for the Cambodian people, I well remember watching the atrocities on television in high school and not understanding why it was happening and no one was stopping it. But of course it was so very soon after the Vietnam war. I have seen the movie the Killing Fields and gained more insight as to what had happened but I will never be able to comprehend how one human being can be so very cruel to another. There are a lot of things in this world I do not understand. I am just very blessed to live in America.
Question? Whitney & Joel I would like to know how high is the crime rate in Vietnam? Is it worse or better than ours? These are very interesting blogs I am enjoying them too, you guys just be very careful. Thanks for sharing.
Happy anniversary! Joel and Whitney, Thought about you on the 3rd. Sound like you had a great anniversary as well as all the other days, except when you went through the scary cave!!!! You 2 are so much braver than me, I can tell you that! I enjoy reading your blog. Be safe, but have fun!

Cool Pictures You all are doing a great job of narrating and documenting your trip. I bet it was strange to see all the abandoned amusement park rides. We love you all and miss you. Nico did great with us this weekend.

hi there! We're not homesick yet, but talk to me in another few weeks and I could change my tune. My mom has Puss and he\'s terrorizing her cat and being a nuisance in general, he\'s pretty good at that. Thanks for reading! Wish you guys were here :)
