It´s a great Adventure I went down the hill last Sunday. It´s realy an Adrenaline rush. We had a Thunderstorm with tons of rain just before coming down. I strongly recomendo to anyone who goes to Nicaragua, to try this.

You Go Girl ! Hey Sweetie-I just received an email from Liz and she told me about your wonderful adventure and your web journal. My thoughts are with you, Carly. You are so precious, and I am glad you are taking the time to do this. You are an amazing woman, and it is so nice that you are able to explore the energy of the land and the people there, especially knowing that Philip is there with you and shares those same experiences. I would love to hear from you when you get home. I have a few pictures of Philip in Puerto Morelos and also in Cozumel (in his dive gear on the dive boat) that I would love to share with you. Peace and love to you, Kimmie (Whidbey Island, Washington)
My comment...celebrate life by actually LIVING it. There should be some things you just don't do. But, that having been said (and you know what I mean), SO glad you came through relatively unscathed! I'm sure the rum and coke would not have made up for NOT : /
Love you and miss you...Be carefl, kiddo! Paz siempre, L.
Wow! Incredible story / experience. Can't wait for the pics!
When I was in Leon in the mid nineties, the volcano had just had a major eruption and everyone was shoveling ash - first from their roofs and then their porches, then finally, the street. Everyone was gamely fighting the situation, and stubbornly hanging on. At the entrance to Leon, they had erected a large banner which read "El Leon jodido, pero vivo todovia" (The lion, screwed but alive still). Wonderful spirit, no?
Hang in there, be safe.
Love,
J
OOOh, Utila! I guess you do know that John and I went to Utila (for a little grown-up escape :), lo those many years ago...it was great! Very quiet still, at that time (no diving mugs at the airport), and the place was not ALL that accustomed to outsiders. There were some, of course, but very few...and most of them Euros. We caught a small launch out to one of the smaller cays, and spent the day...NO ONE else in sight...heaven! We stayed at a very small place on the far side of town (from the airport)...named for a woman, if I remember, but would have to check back on that.
Aaaany way...hope you managed to grab a bit more sunshine...that's what it's really for, after all : ) Love and safe journeys...(got the email :) Paz, Amor y Felicidad, L.
que chido ! Carly, sounnds like you're going to lot of the same places I have been! Keep on keepin' on! I am so celoso de ti! We will be in Puerto Morelos enero thru febrero, maybe we can get together for acouple of cervezas. We love you! Jenine and Robert in California
Hello from your relatives Carly, What an amazing adventurer. It's hard to keep up with all of the places you have been even though I am getting your travelblogs journals. Thanks for adding us to the journal and keeping us informed of your travels. It sounds like your gaining great life experiences. Please be safe!
Hidey Ho! I love the pics! I can see why you would've loved to stay on...had it not been for the chill. I'm just so happy that you are finding this adventure so fulfilling! It's great to follow along with you, believe me! I'll be updating as soon as I can...still having computer troubles : (

Friends Sounds like your having the time/education of your life. The pictures are
great. I have quite a few friends at work that ask about you all the
time. They ask how you are doing, what your doing and where you are
at. Instead of me trying to recap everything (and not being able to remember crap) I gave them your travel site. So now you have expanded your audience. I honestly think they care about you more than I do...not possible...but very nice. Good people. Gotta go back to work. Please be careful and keep in touch when you can.
Love and miss you alot.......Dad

We really ARE happy that you are doing what you "feel", and that you feel Phil doing it with you : ) I know he is! Be sure to doctor that wound...keep it clean and as dry as possible (that's my "mom schpiel...sure you got that from Karen already :) Also happy to hear that you will have some company as you head into Guat. We'll be eagerly awaiting the next update...Abrazos y Besos en abundanza!! L.

Wonderful! Hey, kiddo! This is great...I hope you keep this up...love the pics and the historia. John tells me you're about to hit the road. Hope we can have a chance to speak with you first...let us know when and where we might be able to reach you, if that's okay with you. Thinking of you so much...take good care...Abrazos gigantes...Paz y Felicidad, L.
That's an awesome summary... especially since I was always so confused on where you were all the time! I swear I'm gonna save these journals and take the hikes myself one day. You've got me interested in traveling the world. Love you a lot, Carly... hope you're doin' alright <3
Thanks for this; letting all of us see where you've been and your story. I don't know how you remembered all of that! I think the picture that stuck out the most is of Phil's dive shop. I had heard some about it, and it was good to put a picture to the place. I hope this is helping you, Carly, and we all appreciate it as well! Look forward t'more.
I was wandering, now just wondering.
