Until money runs out?....how are you funding this?! certainly not with the money you made in Thailand!! Are you doing all couch surfing? Please tell me more! I am going to read more because I just discovered this but love you, be safe and be proud you are living a life of no regret.

You are going to be the TB go to person for inexpensive European travel!
I'll bet that dinner in Sorrento busted your budget...but you saved on the pizza. I hope that your relationship with Giuseppe works out...living in Italy would be amazing..."Under the Tuscan Sun" and "Letters to Juliet" come to mind. My son spent a year abroad in Rome, and we have vacationed all over Italy many times. So let's have more frequent blogs from you!

Thank you
Actually that dinner in Sorrento was reasonably priced- they had a connection with the bungalow place we were staying, so we got a free ride there and back, and excellent service. We kept it under 15€ each for food and alcohol-yes over MY budget, but still decent! But I'm loving the 4€ large pizzas in Naples now, I won't lie :)

Hi Kristin! That's so amazing that you only spent that much money for such an extensive amount of time. Awesome! This blog post and all your others have certainly inspired me to embark on my own travels soon in the future! :) Haylie

Wishing you Safe Journey
Hi Kristin, We have followed your journey, and it sounds as though you have grown intellectually as well as spiritually. Travel is a study in undstanding our world and the people in it. You are fortunate to have this opportunity, but it requires lots of organization and work. May you have a safe journey and grow.

Nice
The small adventure looks like it was just perfect. You managed to see and experience all new things once again! Rather a western and suspicious looking Budda, but very shiny. Love you!

Thanks for your reflections...
you are so right. We choose how to react to situations. Situations don't dictate our reaction.

Good for you!
You have a right to brag! You have your head on straight ...and you efforts are admirable. Keep up the good work. Did John get his teaching papers worked out? Sounded like quite a hassle.

The amount of anxiety I had at reading this article was unbearable. I can't even imagine how you felt. Congrats on the visa extension!!

Sounds like the hassle my son went through...
except they wanted his diploma, not his transcripts which show his degree, and the diploma wasn't available as they aren't sent out for months after graduation. He hates the Thai bureaucracy! Anyway, his contract runs out in March, and then he flies to Bejing where I meet him, and we take the Silk Road by train all the way to Tashkent...then on to the Baltics (Air Baltics has a very cheap flight that makes going westward the best option). Anyway, great to hear that you solved this hurdle.

When we lived in Chiang Mai we had two female cats...
they would alternate having kittens on the end of our bed. After eight weeks we would give the kittens to the hill tribes who needed them to control the rat population. Enjoy them!

That's so funny! Phuket has so many strays already, so we hope to find these kittens a forever home with an expat or local.
