HAPPY BIRTHDAY Hope you have a great birthday and welcome to middle agedoom.. Yikes did I just say that.. You now have to check the box 35 and older! Stay safe and have fun!!
Just like I remember it i guess I should have told you about all the motor bikes! Saigan was my least favorite place of the country. Hoi An was one of my favorites- see if you can get a local to take you out to one of the fish markets in the water- it is great!
And be sure to have there pho- it is really good
SO SORRY Hi Kevyn and Dave, I am so sorry that happened but have to say that I am really HAPPY that I wasn't the employee at the airline counter when you arrived. Kevyn...remember when that flight attendant went somewhat postal on us halfway between here and Hawaii??? Telling us Mikie was older than he was and he couldn't have a bagel and apple until we proved he paid for his own ticket??? SERIOUSLY....ANGER....BAD ANGER..... you and I went crazy on him and then had to pipe down because it was way too soon after September 11th.
The rainbow in all of it was that you got to see Sara and your niece..... AND I am sure having a few cocktails after being through the craziness helped a bit.
Safe travels and we are looking forward to your updates. :) Julie
Stop your bitching!!! It's been nasty hot and humid here all summer - I'd give my let boobie for a good snow dump right now! :) Congratulations to Matt and Krista too!

Great pics of the island I've been researching Isla del Sol and came across your blog. Pictures are fantastic and have whetted my appetite for our visit. We plan to spend two days there, hope it's enough time to see everything.
Why have water wars when you have beer popsicles? I was just reading about the water wars for my 'Business and the Natural Environment' class - I'm so jealous of your first hand knowledge!
:) Cheers!

xoxoxo
those darn sand flies!!! i remember those horrible critters. they ate me alive on numerous occasions throughout south america (esp. peru) and i have scars to this day to show for it! they must love our gringa skin...haha. so, the lodge looks sweet. it sounds like you had a great guide who taught you a lot about the jungle wildlife and fauna. que bueno!
Moose You guys ate llama?! Crazy kids! Wanted to tell you that earlier this week a wolf attacked a moose in the driveway. Think we spooked it, and moose took shelter nearly on the deck. We didn't see the actual attack, but missed it by moments. Troopers came up and shot it at the other end of the driveway. It looks like a war zone out there.
Love from the hood. :) amy
Yeah La Paz!! Hey Guys!
I am finally on board after returning stateside! So glad to hear you stayed at Hotel Fuentes... was there an overly controlling asian guy calling the shots around there? He doesn't like it when you try to keep your room key!
Thanks for blogging and can't wait to hear about the anacondas!
-Pete
PS- Turns out is is still cold as shit here.
La Paz Glad you two got to relax a bit in one place, the markets sound great, especially the Witches one. I am anxious to see the Jungle update and glad you are eating so much meat!
First time.... This is the first time I am glad not to have been with you guys! Up and down the hills sounded too hard....I liked the relaxing on the balcony and pasta!
Keep them coming....I enjoy reading your blog.
At the... I can hear Kevyn singing the Copacobana song! This is too fun traveling along with you two as I listen to the rain (yes RAIN!) on the yurt roof. At the ...Alaska...Alaska Banana...belt that is. MISS YOU!
Elizabeth
