In order to get my blog up to speed I may have to be brief in places but I won’t miss any of the good bits. I didn’t like Auckland much. I was there just under a week doing trivial things like some essential shopping, sorting bank accounts, booking buses and walking round the city. The lay out of the city is frustrating to navigate. Despite having coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea it takes over 30 minutes to get to the closest beach, Michelin Bay which is littered. Still I met some really interesting people. Abut most prominently sticks in my mind. A black Frenchman, who auditioned as an extra on the US TV series Gladiator on a whim, having no previous acting experience, is now earning lots of money working 3-4
