Hilarious Omg, Katalin, this made me laugh so much, tears came to my eyes. Love the observation, because, yes, in fact some methods do have quite some similarities to strict political systems, and in any case, it´s always good to keep your own opinion on things.

Dear Jagadish! I hope you are well!
please do not hate yourself! Just accept, who you are and what you are and get to know your boundaries.
For me, the year I have described was amazing! I have learned a lot- mostly about myself, but also about life in general.
Those are big words, I know, but you have to connect to this world, as you are living in it. Do not feel miserable about anything. Things are happening constantly. some are bad, but aome are wonderful. You love to walk alone and meditate. Well, meditate on the good things! When you walk alone, open your eyes to beauty! You don't need to travel, to find beauty! It is all around us. to me the 10 days of Vipassana was an experience. It was extreme, it showed me, that I can do whatever I propose to do. I did not feel miserable, uncomfortable is more the word for it, ibecause I put myself in a situation, out of my comfort zone. I chose to finish the course. I could have always stand up and go home, but I didn't. That was my choice.
You are right about tthat you have to be more positive about things! You should! Life is a game? Of course it is! you have to learn to play in order to be able to enjoy it! More you play, better you get, but you do have to get involved !!!! it is your life!!!
I hope you will enjoy a great Vipassana one day! I loved it and it was amazing, (still today I can't believe that I actually did the whole thing)
Take care
Kat
amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hi kataline
I think you made most out over there doing vipassana, not only vipassana I think you make most out af any oppertunity ,I love the way its done, you are humerous, the way you have explained shows your positive attitude towards life.I am quit the opposite way you are.I am silent,I dont talk much(prett shy),I love to walk alone,I love meditation,I love LORD SHIVA(lord of cosmos,THE ONE who meditates on mt KILASH),I always feel like ....I have no connection with this world,.... always feel miserabe about my self,.... why am i like this,......Is something wrong with me.To my amazement , after reading your 10 days experience,I feel that what all I am doing is (to keep silent, meditate, eat less,no anger ) except to be miserable, frustrated is a part in vipassana,If I would ever given a chance I would do this not for 10 days but for my entire life ,I would love to do it.Thanks for sharing your experience, now I feel better,
I should stop hating my self and loving what I am and with a positive attitude I will see what can be done by me.
PS:I feel that all this world is a game and we are here to play it,to learn tricks,to play better,to enjoy it,understand it and not to bother weather we loose or gain and most of all play it like a game "NOT TO GET INVOLVED IN IT"
hello kathilina Hi Katalina,
hope you had the chance to really sit for a second course and maybe this time really follow the techniques....
I am sue both your travel experiences and your accounts on them would benefit enormously
all the best

Round 2 I have to say I quite enjoyed your Vipassana summary. I completed one in Manitoba last summer and I recall thinking to myself "This is the most gruelling thing I have ever subjected myself to!" However the dust has since settled and I found myself meditating at home an hour a day for the most part. I missed, not craved, the solitude of the retreat and the resting of the Monkey mind and found myself seraching the net for another group for this summer. So off I go again July 28 to Janesville Minnesota for another 10 days exprience. By the way I tented the first retreat and was soon to discover I was being visited each night by black bears a mother and 2 cubs! Try maintaining noble silence under those circumstances. Alas this is actually one of my favourite memories in the 55 years I have lived on this earth. be happy Keep sharing your adventures.
Hey Kataline,
Really enjoyed reading your China blogs. I have always wanted to go there. My blog is looking for some good travel photos. If you have the time, check us out dirty-hippies.blogspot.com
Continued fun on your travels,

x Kedves Katalin !
Brilliantly written! I really enjoyed your account - at times I laughed out loud! I have been considering doing a Vipassana course in my country and I'm really not sure.
More Holy Cow Pictures Here are some Holy Cow Images I made all over India about the Holy Cow or Sacred Bull.
Hope you enjoy them.

Ez így igaz! Kedves Zoli!
Thank you I just finished my vipassana in Texas USA (ok I only lasted 4 days)
no insects here thank got.
Thanks for making me laugh my ass off
everything you said is sooooo true and sooooo funny
you are one hell of a writer
looking fwd to purchasing your book soon. you are sooo gifted
vipassana course your experience of vipassanna course is same as most of us go through. however your presentation was so humerous.
Hope you have continued with meditation thereafter
Sweet memories I can never forget the days in Székesfehérvár and Budapest. Székesfehérvár is a really peaceful and beautiful town to live in. Hope I could be there some days future.
Mouth-watering Hungarian dishes Grateful to you for describing us great places in your own country and mouth-watering Hungarian dishes. I wish to visit your places at the luckiest moment.
Also teach us how to cook some special Hungarian dishes.
Interesting photographs I am at present staying in Mumbai, I am a friend of Anup, I will always remember him as a person with great sense on humor. Yes, he is a good cook too. I liked your photographs Kataline. I would like to share few of mine with you. I also share the same view about the bollywood movies.
With best wishes

Indian Films Hi Cat,
Its unfortunate that the only movie you picked up is neither here nor there. It lacked the fight-romance-loud melodrama-packed usual Bollywood flavour; and also it failed to possess the class and touch of Satyajit Ray/Ritwik Ghatak or the lesser counterparts of the real stalwarts of the Indian Cinema. Better luck next time.
One thing more. Happy to know that you have found our Anup a great cook.
Don't forget to visit my abode next time you are in Kolkata.
Lots of love and best wishes.
