Really? I cant put my finger on it but for some reason I find your posts about malawi very condiscending, as if you feel you are better than everyone else! This is africa not the western world, those utes (called matolas by the way) are often peoples only form of travel if you dont like it take a private hire or shared taxi, if you sit down and chat with the drivers you can often negotiate a very fair price. Oh and just so you know its not all tomatoes and onions, if you go into the markets (theres a big one in nkhata bay) you can find a large selection of vegetables, I know I live here!
island in the sky...sounds nice. now at least i know where Malawi is..as for the guides, sometimes better without them. so you back in Africa or never left. I in Norway at mo, doing my little weekend hikes :) cheers
as 'nervenaufreibend' as ever. Live in Hervey Bay is much less exciting but none the less pretty good. Caught up with Shirley and Andrian and we had a lovely afternoon with them.
Take CARE, love you both.

Happy Birthday Hi Guys, has been great reading about your adventures!! Good to see you having such a good time.
Hope you had a good birthday Flo.
Looking forward to the next installment!
after our little chat last night, I had to check for the blog first thing this morning. Surviving all this you 2 can conquer just about anything.
It's raining once again, great. We are back to stage 2 water restrictions. Dam levels up to 68%. The country is looking green again.
greatings from Schorndorf Hallo Florian,
Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Flo! They've advertised for applicants for the Australian version of the Amazing Race. You two would've been perfect for it! Take care.
thanks for the chuckles! Hey Kam and Flo! Just caught up on your travel commentary. Not sure how I missed it so far but am loving hearing about your trip and the decision making on the fly! Sounds like you two are having a brilliant time :) Can't believe you forgot to pack the camp stove...hahaha.....and already a night setting up in the dark...sounds familiar! Guess it makes for a great suprise when you open the tent the next morning. Nothing exciting has been happening here. Hanging out to get my group certificates so I can get cashed up and book a holiday! This full-time student lifestyle is just not cutting it :) Great to see your pics from the soccer and hear about the atmosphere. Kinda glad its over and my sleep pattern can return to normal. Matt slept on the couch for practically the whole world cup....at least our sleeping bags are getting some use! Keep having fun and looking forward to the next instalment. Bec xx
gun art well it depends on the interpretation, guns in way are art, so for that matter everything is art.
As always, I like your blogs and the interesting photos. Keep it up and stay save.
