Steadfastly refusing to give up on the puns, then... Very good photos the quality of the pictures appears to be inversely proportional to the quality of the puns.
WOW!!! What great photo's now I see what youwere dping on Sunday morning between Skype messages.
Seems you are having a great time, Cambodia seems like a really good place to visit - I shall put it on the list!
Keep Safe

a very moving entry. a quality plog entry dealing with a very sobering and thought prevoking situation. I can think of quite a few people who should be made to go and see what actually happened in Cambodia and be shown the mass graves as you have shown with the picutures they might then "get real and get a life" stay safe ,speak soon. david
Strewth I can remember the Blue Peter appeals for Cambodians when I was a kid, but I never really realised quite how nasty the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot were.
I don't know whether its more shocking to realise that people could be subjected to such treatment during my lifetime or to have my complete ignorance shown for what it is.
A very thought-provoking blog that puts my everyday worries into very stark perspective. We truly don't know how lucky we are.
It would have been easy for you not to write about Choeung Ek, but I'm glad you did. Thanks.
R's are backwards hey guys thought i'd wish u a rather jolly warm feelin time on your tours, just spent three hours on this typewriter fangled thang trying but the R's backwards!!! anymahoo, keep on trukkin x
Feat of Clay Wow! I'm now seriously gutted that we didn't have time (or money) to see the warriors when we went to China.
Oh, and there is something truly wrong about Polish vodka...
Pics Hi folks, it appears some of our pics on this one are a bit darker than usual. They seemed fine on the computer we used, so apologies if they're not up to the usual standard :o)
We don't need no education... Excellent photos of the wall. Did you see the blokes whose job is to walk up the hillsides picking up the litter? That truly is a tough job.
Hope you're enjoying the Tsingtao and the deep fried chicken's feet - wonder why you don't get them in KFC...
shocking joke about the great wall!!! Glad to see you're still safe, well and having a good trip! keep up the blog and the photos look amazing!
Sue xx
P.S. Dave - Newcastle won their 1st game of the season against the mighty Wigan (wasn't sure if you knew!)
Thankyou I'd just like to give a heartfelt thanks for all the messages of support regarding my equestrian skills. It's truly uplifting to know there are so many people out there willing to have a pop at such short notice. And to clear things up, it was a horse! Not a donkey! They gave me a slow one because they didn't want the others getting jealous as I rode off into the distance on a faster horse. Honest.
The Horse? Dave, I have to agree, that picture of you on the horse is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Did you get stuck with the kiddies horse?
Looks brill! Hey you two! Looks like you are having a great time. The scenery looks stunning in Mongolia. I'm glad that you are seeing the sophisticated side of the cultures that you are visiting too! I tell you, I am very jealous on this grey Macclesfield afternoon. Looking forward to the next news.....ps Dave that is NOT a horse!!! Take care, Sarah x
Stop the punning, it's Madness! That horse picture is the funniest thing since Peter Crouch. I bet you wanted to shower it with sugarlumps and ride it over... fences. And I'm glad to see Carolyn's maintaining some sartorial decorum. May I just say that's a smashing blouse!
A Horse With No Name Okay, so you didn't ride through a desert, but I've got to try and keep up with the puns.
Once again some spectacular scenery and photos, though Dave's pony appears to have shrunk in the wash...
Definitely no sacred animals, birds or reptiles in Beijing (hope you're not vegetarian).
Have to say I'm a bit disappointed though. With that blog title I thought you'd be leaving on the Night Boat to Cairo.
Spectacular Some very nice pictures this time - very jealous of the mountains! I suspect that your steed just had a cold, Dave - it looked a little horse. I imagine it was a little depressing going back to a city after all that scenery - hope you get some nice stuff in China!
Kev
Enough of the puns already You can tell Dave used to work in journalism can't you?! Certainly sounds like you're having a great time. Looks like the 350D is doing you well too. Some good photos, glad to see Carolyn is there and you didn't leave her on the train when she lost her ticket. Why did Carolyn have a bigger pony than Dave? Poor donkeys! Hope you have a good journey to Beijing. Simon and Kath x
Great photos... The ones of Moscow look good too, but my favourite has to the lake. Is it stating the obvious to say that it looks absolutely beautiful?
Looking forward to the next installment.

Rising up to the challenge of Lake Baikal (and failing) Loving the puns. And the references to dodgy 80's rock. Can't beat it! Must surely be the first time you've been British and not Scottish, Dave? Excellent stauch attitude though, with the whole not complaining thing. What did you tell the couple thinking about moving to Macc? Not to?! I can see who the camera was really bought for now though...
Coke! Hi, really glad you have managed to put pictures to all of this - some crackers there! With Carolyn's antics its good you found someone to translate for you or that could have got interesting. Did you buy any of the fish looks like it had the potential to be very smelly.
I wonder if you will get to a place where you cant buy a coke. Good luck for the next part of the journey.
Simon
Now finished our year long, round the world trip, during which Carolyn was able to carry her backpack and we both became experts at packing and unpacking in double quick time.
We saw some amazing sights and met loads of interesting people. The best of both should appear in what we've written from Russia, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala and Mexico.
To answer a few of the questions we heard regularly from fellow travellers and those at home alike, we don't have a favourite country, no w... full info
