hue. hoi. hi. perhaps in my excitement about the reality of a place called Hoi, I failed to notice that all the pic labels with the word Hue were referring to a place. susan just pointed out that you were not indeed calling attention to the color balance of the shots. I will read more carefully next post. but great hue in these shots. love the faces of the people here. s wants to know how the 15c beers are.
Love you both sooooo I so love vicariously enjoying your travels. Thank you for the great travel journals. Keep it up. I feel like I am there.
Love you....Jane
I wasn't kidding So, I hadn't checked in on your travels for awhile, but I was compelled to when I read a recent New Yorker article about a couple, one of who was on a sabbatical from her law firm the other a drug mule (ok, it's not a perfect match, as far as I know), who met in Tibet, got married, told their lives back home to forgeddaboutit, traveled the entire Asian continent, probably 50 times by now and have become famous writers of cookbooks. Alright, I think you can pick another genre, but I do think there's something in this for you. Here's the link:

And now, back to my life, having just billed 60 hours in four days. Aww, c'mon, I know you miss it.
Happy New Year Hoping that you are enjoying every minute except the typical meltdowns we all have; life is good here. We just got back from Pacific Grove with Christopher and baby and Jennifer...great fun and the weather was fabulous. Your parents and we hope to get together before they leave. They are pretty ensconced in Anacortes as you know. And the weather has been difficult to figure with snow these last 10 days! Lindsay is in New Hampshire with her "boy friend"...such a silly term but I am not sure what to call a 34 year old. My great wish for us all is that you stay safe and upon your return will have an evening for those who love and miss you so that we can hear the long version. Some, I for one, will want the looooong version and will camp there for days. Much love to you and Jub! Auntie Lou
It is more than a pain the neck to admire the Petronas Towers. It was a pain in the back for me. I literally bent over backwards at the base of the towers to admire the gleaming towers. My jaws dropped open due to the reverse back stretch and in awe.
Merry Christmas Loved the narrative and the pictures. I am doing my Christmas cards. Where should I send yours? It's very cold here in Bellevue. Trust you are warmer for Christmas. It snowed in New Orleans so Thailand might be due. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you lucky travellers. Keep the blogs coming.
Dune "part of our on-going quest to find a DVD copy of David Lynch's masterpiece "Dune" (we both finished the book in Indonesia)"
i love you guys.
PS - DL had the opportunity to make the third Star Wars installment (his working title was Revenge of the Jedi), but decided to make Dune instead.
HUH? I'd worry more about the GERMS ON the hooka than the tobacco or whatever was IN that hooka! :)
GORGEOUS FLOWERS!
Love your blogs, and both of you.

another adventure..... That durian is quite something from the looks of it! It must be the only produce that has not been imported to the US...Thank God! Lindsay went to Singapore with my Mom many years ago and was shopping in a jewelry store when all the sales ladies were giggling. When asked why they were so amused they said it was the first time they had ever seen a person with diamonds on her teeth{braces}. She loved it there. happy Thanksgiving!!! We love you guys.
So fun!! It looks like you guys are having an amazing time- thanks for sharing all your stories. Picture me now- sitting in the stinking office building staring at a monitor. Ah- you are so lucky to be out exploring the world!! We definitely miss you two. xo.
turtle love awesome! we saw a turtle nest hatch in (exotic, impenetrable) north carolina this summer. susan just had a cute attack relapse looking at your pix and is worried she may talk in a high pitched pinched voice for the rest of her life.
Teary eyed Your travels are so amazing - I honestly teared up a little reading and seeing all of the stunning people, places - and animals (some, I'm not sure I would have ben so trilled about!?) that you're experiencing. I continue to live vicariously through you two - so keep it coming!! Loves! ~Boyeson
the time of your lives... All sounds fabulous; if the lawyer stuff doesn't work out , travel writing is most definitely your gig! Loved the turtles and think it will be one of the precious highlights when all is said and done. Jub, your choice of drink...I completely agree. Stay safe. Love you guys.
I want to grow up and be you! Hey, you two, it may not get any better than that and we too celebrated our new hope and change with Barack's win. happy trails to you both and hugs all round. Louise and Jack
