I feel you...
I was directed to your site after browsing for tips on US Visa application. I could not help reading your experience in Canada. I was just there for a three-week vacation and returned last week. I also fell in love with its beauty (Oh those Canadian Rockies, Stanley Park and Granville Island), the discipline, and the politeness of the people. I would love to experience it again but during fall to see the foliage of maple trees... ???

I want to see fall in Canada too! I've been back three more times after this trip but never in the fall. That's something to look forward to

Hi. I also saw the list you were referring to and I am also curious of knowing more about the islands on it. Thank you for posting this blog entry so I can see what it is like. I looks like a place I would enjoy visiting. /Ake

I never went to the north
I went to Vietnam in the mid 90-ies. I spent about a month there and travelled a lot in the south and the central part of the country. I didn't have time to go to the north so I never went to Ha Long Bay. It's on the bucket list though. /Ake

Siem Reap
Well I stayed in a $4 a night hostel so that's what I got. Haha! Loved your entry about Siem Reap. I had to investigate. I was just at the beginning of my trip so I couldn't do that. But who am I kidding, I'll always be too cheap to stay in a luxury hotel so that kind of trip may never happen!

Thanks for bringing back memories
I went to Bali in 2002 and I had a fabulous time there. Thanks for bringing back some memories. It was before we started this blog so we haven't written about that. Maybe I will some day get around to post a blog myself from that trip. /Ake

Memories of Bali
It is difficult not to have fun in Bali. Seems to attract some of the most fun loving people from all over the world. Or maybe it was the atmosphere that made us that way ?

True north
I love reading your blogs about Canada and all the things you observe about it. I live in Chilliwack, so you went by my neighborhood On your way to Hope! You have to come back for winter, usually rainy and grey, but this year has been cold and snowy. People are ice skating on the ponds you took pictures of! Never say never. I'm sure you'll be back.

True north
thank you for reading. I've always liked the name of that place since I first heard it. Chilliwack! Yeah I was thinking I have seen winter, spring, and summer in Canada but I've never seen fall yet. I heard it's lovely. I'm pretty sure I'll be back to see Canada in the fall though not this year. Cheers!
