We made it safely to Darwin on Saturday after a rather hilly drive in pretty high temperatures. The engine temp. didn't move off normal (thank goodness). Our stop at Katherine was good, with a nice dip in the hot springs on Thursday, followed by a three gorge cruise up the Katherine River on Friday. It was a very hot and humid day again, so the swim with the crocs was a welcome relief. Yes we saw about four freshwater crocs along the river bank. Fortunately, I made sure I swam close to the children, just in case there was an attack!!!!! By all accounts, freshwater crocs are quite shy (ha ha). We left for Darwin (about 300km north) at 10.00am and arrived at 2.30pm. We stopped for a break, at Adelaide River, famous for the WWII
