Sunday August 7,2016 This morning woke up and had a nice breakfast with Sally and Clare and second day in London. Sally 's second day at her Felting workshop and another day to explore and hopefully not get totally lost. Around 9:45 am - both Sally and I said "Thanks and good bye to Clare and walked out the door to start our day. We put our overnight bag in the trunk and Sally & I made a plan to meet up at Newbury Park on the Central Line around 5pm or so. I walked to the bust stop down from Clare's house and hopped on the C2 bus towards Victoria train and tube station. I got off in Camden Town and headed off to the markets and stalls!! Saturday August 6,2016 Good Morning Everybody! Sally and I left Poplar Farm around 8:15 am and drove towards London. We arrived at the church where the Felting Workshop was being held about 10:15 am. Then I walked towards the nearest bus stop to get myself into the center of London. I hopped on bus #134 which brought me all the way to New Oxford Street which is near Tottenham Court Road Tube Station. I got on the the London Victoria tube line towards Kings Cross/St. Pancras and then stood in line with a few other people to take a photo at the site of HARRY POTTER 9 3/4 Platform. Friday August 5,2016 Today Sally and I went grocery shopping and did some errands in and around Ipswich which was great! Later-we had a nice lunch at Poplar Farm and then relaxed for a bit. We did a furniture project outside which has turned out well. About 6pm- Sally,Sheri,Fleur,Millie and myself will join a few friends at Jimmy's Farm to see the Theater in the Forest. Tonights play is the Tempest which looks interesting. We are bringing a few nibbles and waters to munch on before the show. Back again folks- The play was good and there were actors/actresses and the songs were nice. There were some good jokes as well. Wednesday August 3,2016 Hello Again! How are you today? Starting my adventure and journey to England! Just finishing up on packing and getting my apt all cleaned up and ready . Sophie-my calico cat knows something is happening with the luggage all over. Are you ready yet? I will wait for a few minutes- ok - all set! Great! Let's go!! Just sit down with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy visualizing you with me on this summer vacation. Waving bye to Sophie and closing&locking the doors as I head towards the taxi. Arrived at Newark International Airport and checked my luggage in and had dinner. Waited in the lounge for the flight and then left earlier than expected. Friday April 1, 2016 =============== Awoke around 7:45 am and had a good night sleep in Hardeeville,South Carolina. Left around 8:35 am drove for awhile and then arrived in Beaufort, SC around 9:15 am. Parked and found somewhere for breakfast in town, a sweet little cafe " Market News" which had good food. After breakfast, walked around to the waterfront,swinging benches and saw the stores as well. Then took another walk around the town to look at the churches,architecture and historical buildings which were all amazing and beautiful. Also stopped by the St. Elena Historic Research Center in downtown Beaufort which was great to learn about the history. Thursday March 31,2016 =================== Awoke from a good night sleep in Pooler,GA outside Savannah. Showered and had breakfast and got my suitcase and other bags ready to put into the car. Checked out of the hotel and drove toward Wormsloe Historic Site just outside of Savannah,GA Wormsloe: Historic Colonial Plantation and Estate which began in 1702 until 1775. Amazing oaks,,grounds,trees and buildings which has been preserved beautifully by the state of Georgia. Wonderful historic site!!! After that site, drove towards Darien,GA to see King Fort George which is the oldest British Fort which is from 1721 until 1736. Awesome Fort !! Hot and muggy today but excellent historic site as well. I would highly recommend coming down to Darien and walking around the Fort, for yourself. Wednesday March 30,2016 ===================== Slowly got out of bed,showered and had breakfast this morning in Walterboro,SC. Around 9:15 am, got into the car and checked out of the hotel and I put my bag together for the day. Arrived in Savannah,GA around 10:30 am and walked into the Visitor's Center. Found out that there was Fort and Battlefield nearby which we were able to walk to from the center. The Battlefield- Memorial for the hundreds who fought and died for freedom on October 9,1779 in Savannah,GA. 8,000 troops of three armies fought during the Revolutionary War Battle of Savannah. 2,500 British troops faced 5,500 French and American troops- Soldiers from Haiti,Germany,Scotland,Ireland,Sweden and Poland took part in the fighting. Tuesday March 29,2016 ================= Today awoke up in the town of North Charleston and had a good night sleep. Had breakfast,showered and got my bag ready for the day ahead. We assembled our other bags and things and checked out of our hotel as well. Jumped back into the car and drove towards a suburb of Charleston,SC - Mt.Pleasant which was a very sweet town. Looked in two Antique stores in and around that area,which was wonderful, before heading back to Charlestown,SC. Once we were in Charlestown again, walked to a few historic buildings and museums. First-Went to the oldest historic building in Charleston,SC- "The Powder Magazine" which was awesome,fun and I learned many things about Colonial Military. Monday March 28,2016 ======================= Good Morning Everyone! Awoke around 5:30 to get the day started and assembled my suitcase and bag. Headed downstairs and waited for awhile and had a banana , too early for me to have breakfast. We said goodbye and were in the car around 7:20 am. Drove for awhile and then had a bathroom break and looked around the "Welcome and Visitor Center of North Carolina." Drove some more and listened to the news,n.p.r and music before stopping the "Visitor's Center of South Carolina." Finally got to a small sleepy town of Selma,SC around 11:45 am. Walked around a bit and found several Antique stores, looked around for awhile before getting back into the car for Lunch. Sunday March 27,2016 ================== Happy Easter!! Happy Sunday!! - Awoke very early today around 5:25 am - going to visit a Catholic Mass Church service in Williamsburg,Virginia. Rainy Day !! The church service began around 6:30 am this morning and I was very still sleepy. It was a beautiful service and I especially enjoyed listening to the hymns and looked around the gigantic building. We returned home around 8:15 am and had breakfast which was nice. For the next few hours- relaxed,helped in the kitchen,read, wrote a chapter on my mystery for fan fiction and worked on my blog. We all had left-overs for lunch today and then later I helped peel the sweet potatoes for the special easter dinner we were having.
