A typically rainy day in Manchester and it's my first day of a new temp job. A mix up at the train station has me on the wrong train in the wrong direction, and a commute which was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours ends up taking 4. As a result I'm 2 hours late. Perfect. I arrive drenched and apologetic. The job is covering reception for a few days as the usual receptionist - Mandy is getting married, so today consists of her showing me the ropes before leaving tomorrow. As with any typical meeting with a stranger, we exchange the usual pleasantries asking about each other's interests and establish a fast bond over our love of Glastonbury.
