Keep 'em Coming! : ) your update was just what I needed...a little something to keep everything in perspective. We're pressed for a deadline tonight and it's nice to read about people who realize that things can always be done another time. Deet, Turkish delight...I'll have to give it a good whiff next time to confirm! ; )
Back to work - Rwandan style! So you've started work? I am sure it must be so different, but 1 hour a day? If only! Will you get to hang out in the school and get to know the kids too? Whats the other organisation you may be able to get involved in?
Keep blogging!

Muraho! Wow Jess, sounds very exciting!! Good news about the porridge, and also about the plastic bags - wish they did that in the UK! Out of interest, what is your water supply like - is the tap connected to the local lake or an underground spring (currently doing a piece of coursework on water resources in Uganda for my Environmental Science degree!) What is the food like out there? xxx
WOW Jess - it looks awesome and sounds like a luxury african lifestyle you are leading! Still cold and miserable here, oh how Id love to be in Africa!! Make the most of it and go to that lake - it looks amazing. Loads of love xxxxxx
Wow! Jess, the updates and photos are great! Basic but perfect sounds awesome to me. Never heard an outhouse called a longdrop...but I have to say the term brought a smile to my face (how juvenile am I?!!). xxx
good stay there! Hey Jess, glad that you arrived there in spit of the strike! After all these years in France, you should know the French people pretty well! (sans vouloir vous vexer les amis franais!) When things don't go well, they organize strike for the things turn well. When the things go well, they organize strikes for things turn better! :-)
We've found it! Thought you'd be impressed to know we've found out how to use your blog - well, Dad did actually but I'm sure I would have got there if I'd had a go!
Much looking forward to the first update and hope all is going well.
All my love
Mum xx
Go Get 'Em! Best of luck on your travels Jess. I've got my fingers crossed that the weather cooperates for you! Can't wait to see your digs in Rwanda and hear about your adventure! xxx
