I speak too soon. You have put in some pics of Goblin SP. Sorry I interpreted from your previous blog of Arches NP that you did after Goblin SP that as no goblin pics it did not grab you. Being formations from the edge of an ancient estuary edge of a lake or sea the formations are pretty extraordinary.
Nice arches I've only seen this park from the air covered with snow so great to see it close and personal. Great pics. Why no pics of Goblin SP? Goblin in the snow was a highlight of our time in the SW USA.
Extraordinary Gotta be the most extraordinary stone arch I've seen...defies logic and so unlike other stone arches in the region. I'll post it in the Strange Geology thread in the Photography Forum.
The perils of motion photography One day we should compare photos of blurred trees and telegraph poles, I have a compulsion for taking photos from buses, and like you say they rarely work, but your cemetery shot came up good. Thanks heaps for blogging the Pamir Highway for us as we got there to early and couldn't do it, but to be honest we love our creature comforts and would have done a shorter version than you. Great photos.
