Blimey Bob, have you gone native?
22nd February 2008

SO pleased you enjoyed the reef and the pool at the hotel I recommended - bit of a relief... Now we wait and see how you LOVE the northern territory!!!!

Brave
Well done for braving those shark and jellyfish-infested waters! I think I might have sat that one out given the full body suits and warning messages on the beach. Still, you both look alive in the later photos so no ill effects. Carine says, Nice shorts, Bob!

Weather
You certainly picked a good time to visit Makay! I've just returned from 4 days of Tasmanian bush walking in glorious sun. Would you believe that my daughter and family were on Frazer Isl at the same time as yourselves.
16th February 2008

oh no! can't believe you're in a disaster zone, hope you're ok
16th February 2008

Blimey
I had better not mention the glorious sunshine we are having here then had I? You are certainly having an adventurous time in Oz, just watch out for the disrupted crocs or snakes, but do take a picture as I'd love to see a real live snake!
16th February 2008

Intrepid! Rain has obviously got to the spellchecker again though.
15th February 2008

Gecko for me
I love the gecko, can one plop into your suitcase to come home? Sounds like you are just about surviving the weather. Its very chilly here now, but hopefully brightening for the last weekend of half term.
14th February 2008

Caught up with you in Australia
Great to see Australia, it doesn't look anything like I imagined so far. Really love the photographs - you'll need a huge album!
14th February 2008

Bad luck
Bad luck on not getting to see the turtles. The weather is very strange to see as I can only remember it all being very hot and sunny.
14th February 2008

Eating well
Glad to see Bob is continuing with his diet, would hate to see him fade away. Hope the weather gets better for you soon, we could do with the rain here!
13th February 2008

Rain
I can't believe you have gotten all the way to Australia and it looks a bit like England and is raining to boot! I bet the temperature is not below freezing like it is for those of us stuck in the northern hemisphere though so that at least is some consolation. Sounds like you are making the most of it and I am glad you were not camping in the storm. More great pictures as ever.
12th February 2008

You have rain we have sun
We seemed to have swapped weather, its been amazingly glorious here for the last couple of days! Australia looks very very different doesn't it. The big question is did Mum get a picture of the dingo?
8th February 2008

Returned home
I have just sent you an email. Enjoyed your blog while we have been at Arthur.
8th February 2008

Well worth the wait
Once again truly awesome pictures, you have definitely sold me on New Zealand, would Vern and Annette be willing to do it all again next year! It seems like you've been in New Zealand for ever, can't believe you've got more adventures yet to come! Happy travelling and see you in Oz!
7th February 2008

Eh?
How did you post this then? Don't worry we'll hang on but the Mt Cook photos had better be spectacular.
5th February 2008

Tracking internet cafes
I hope you are recording all your internet access points they could prove very useful to other travelling bloggers! Can't believe the places you are going to and you can still post your blog everyday, amazing!

sheep game
Seeing all those New Zealand sheep reminded me of the NZ game we used to have where you had to buy and sell the sheep, how funny to see that there really are millions of sheep over there!!
