Paradise!
A little town sandwiched between ocean and mountains and with nearby waterfalls and museums sounds like paradise to me! Don't know if you ever caught a wave (not so easy), so it sounds as if you may need to return to paradise to practice some more! Great video--felt as if I were there.

Ditumabo Falls

It was actually just a one-hour session, so yeah, I definitely need more practice. But one thing I did learn is that surfing's addictive. I now understand the growing passion for it.

Meet you in SA!
I'm such a slow traveler that we may end up meeting down here in SA--how cool would that be?!!!
7th November 2013

Hopefully!
But I'm thinking at a time frame around 2015 or 2016. I don't think you're that slow. :)

We All Need A Bit Of Calm Sometimes

Fantastic video and ...
A better version of yourself--I think not. I think the present version is excellent! How fantastic that you allowed the spaciousness of lounging on the beach to open you both to the perfection of the cloudy, present moment and to letting go of old frustrations. You sound pretty enlightened right now. Best wishes for a great new semester!

We All Need A Bit Of Calm Sometimes

It's what travel does to us.
It allows us to see ourselves in the context of the world. And life's great if we choose to see it that way. Thanks! I'm looking forward to going to South America in the future, by the way.

Beautifully written....
Jay, whatever it was (is) that bothered you, I wish for it to go away. Yet, that same anxiety or gloom led to these expressions of your heart. You write beautifully. Even more so with your recent realization of your own personal truths. Cheers! ---- tita lili :-)

Tita Lili, is that really you?
Why are you commenting offline? Hehe. Anyway, I'm okay na. Madrama lang talaga po ako minsan magsulat, pero hindi naman in person. :D Anyway, thanks, I appreciate it.

It’s wonderful to know that I was redirected to this blog and read your story about faith and love. You reply my message then, and i also reply you back. i think there is a purpose prepared by God for me to read your story, since now I’m in the state to gather my courage also for a girl that I love also. Seriously, after reading your blog i also ask God for giving me strength to tell her my deepest feeling. :) Wow, I thought that it is the same line. Haha. well, I don’t know whether you already tell your feeling to someone you love or not, but I really hope the best thing happen for you. Terima Kasih

God Answer Our Prayers
Whatever religion or belief we practice, if we ask God for guidance and help, God will give us the answer. The answer can be so subtle, but it can be so frankly as well. oh anyway, this one is really good prayer: "Bless Reni and her family and allow her to do her final pillar by letting her go to Mecca. You know how I feel about __________. Please give me the courage to tell her."

I agree.
I was kind of having minor emotional and spiritual issues a few weeks before and that particular tour somehow restored my faith and gave me hope for certain things. Funny that I found solace while learning about other religions. Goes to show how the goodness of humanity is universal. But... whoa! Those are actually two separate wishes! Hahaha! I was talking about another person in the second wish. I should edit that now. Reni's boyfriend might punch me. Hahahaha!

It's wonderful how God answers prayer...
in such practical ways. For me, this is one way I know He is there and cares. We also need to be open to His leading to serve as His angels to others, just as the pastor was.

Hi Jay, enjoyed this blog very much. Jakarta can be a difficult city to get to know, and you have captured a lovely vibe in this post.

Underrated
Thanks! For some reason, I found myself loving Jakarta more than I expected. I only allotted myself one day to explore the city and wished I had given it one more. :)

Impressive
Not sure how you managed to get this photograph shooting into the sun with only minimum lens flare, but the result is lovely.

Triumphant Sunset

Thanks
I'm not sure I remember either, but I think that was early evening so the sun has gone a bit down. Or maybe it was hidden behind some buildings. It was just one of those lucky shots.
