After flying into Bangkok we spent the fist 5 days relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sunshine. It was nice to take it easy and stay in one place for more than a couple of days. It also helped that it was 37 degrees!! Once we had recharged our batteries we set about exploring Bangkok. We started with a trip to the biggest market, the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Totaling over 8,000 open air stalls, it was very easy to get lost among the vast array off, clothes, shoes, touristy bits, food etc. There were also quite a few unusual smells!! No trip to Bangkok would be complete without a visit to the Wat Phar Kaeo temple and the Grand Palace. It was sparkly and spectacular and bloody hot!! You have to cover your shoulders
