Leopard shark touching tank, but the ducks that also live here must have pretty short toenails!

LEOPARD SHARK TANK IS NOT A TOUCH TANK!
HEY! This is very important, and I want to make sure you're aware, but I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium recently and I want to make it clear that this specific tank WAS NOT A TOUCH TANK. They do have other touch tanks, but when I asked, they said this one with the leopard sharks and ducks was strictly off-limits, and if they catch anyone with their hands in this tank, they will be removed from the Aquarium. It was still an awesome place and totally worth the visit, but I wanted to make sure everyone who does go will get to enjoy their visit and won't be asked to leave.

Thanks for the update, this was about 5 years ago, maybe more And to be honest I can't even remember if I thought it was a touch tank or Just got it wrong!

Great pictures and info! Next time you should try the Key West Express ferry from Fort Myers Beach or Marco Island to Key West. Its alot faster than driving and way more fun!

Thanks for the comment, have seen the ferry and looks fun, but we were on a driving holiday in an RV, the drive down was all part of the fun!

We are two seasoned travellers, used to home comforts and simple itineraries usually organised by a travel agent to include only 'nice' hotels and beaches but that all changed in 2012 when we embarked on our first 4 week, self organised, US road trip using RV and car across California...The first blog was an 'on the road' experiment so apologies for poor spelling, grammar etc and possible boredom?... We started with 3 nights in Las Vegas in Sept 2012 and thespending 12 days driving an RV North West through the Mojave, Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks, then across to SanFrancisco and fina... full info
