you'd think I would get it by now! I feel so stupid- I hit the enter button everytime. I looked at the pictures again. They make me feel like I want to be there too. Nice to see that you seem to be having a good time there. Pop and I had a complimentary breakfast at the hotel (Sheraton) because our key card didn't work last night. I will be exploring today by taking the train to Auntie Melba's workplace downtown. Our hotel is in Universal Studios.A Dios!
Informative pictures Finally got to see your beautiful sisters there. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us through the pictures.Keep showing them! Thank God you're feeling better. We have not stopped praying for you. Love ya.
Janice!!! Your adventures are really exciting. It's so good to hear from you through this blog, even though it isn't directed toward me and stuff. Hahaah. But hearing about your experiences in Costa Rica is really making me want to do something similar to this during one of these summers I'm... alive, I suppose. Maybe between undergrad and grad school. Yeah. Something like that. Miss you, Janice, and I hope everything continues to go well (dispite the sickness experience). Byeee!
Oooo What beautiful scenery! I'm so happy for you getting to see such things. You look all cute in your sun-tan! I'm glad that you're having a good time and learning all the fun cultural differences - I know you're special, guess that guy saw it too. Hehehe. Illinois is dry and medium-to-hot right now, so you're not missing that much. OH except for the horizons. With the lack of moisture (aka lack o'clouds) you can now see for miles and miles when you look out over the fields and such. It's quite pretty. Mel and I took a drive yesterday to Rockford. We went the backway through the farms and stuff - the corn's around a foot tall now - so pretty!
Well my dear, I miss you much - take lots more pictures of the monkeys and lizards. They're nifty. :)
'til next time, Andrea
Go Janice! Hey Janice
I have definitely enjoyed your blog so far. Your observations and pictures help me get a real good feel for what Costa Rica is like. You know a year ago we were all in the Philippines. Hard to believe, isn't it? Two big summer trips in a row for you!
Hope you're feeling better. Peace!
Noel
Hey Janice Hey Janice,
It sounds like you're having tons of fun. I am here in Champaign for the summer, so not quite so much fun. I began my internship and it's really neat. It was great to hear from you, I was just thinking of calling you the other day, but then I remembered that you're not in the country! Keep haviing fun!!! See you later alligator
Poor Jan! I'm thankful you're getting better. Nice pictures but where are are Clara and the sister's pictures? I already bought the yarns and snack bars.Jared said it's okay that he and Yvonne take the stfuff to you. They're about 5 lbs. Take care. Love and prayers, mom
Dearest Janice.
Oh it sounds pleasant where you are. It feels a little odd that while we're up here you're down there and the days are passing by. I'm busy doing research and going to meetings. Studying for the GRE math is discouraging, and sometimes I get stressed out and want to cry. Those times I feel especially lonely (I live by myself). Actually today was one of those days. Reading your entry made me feel better, though. And Isabella has been a true friend to me so far all summer. She's a dear. We're both excited about your time in central America and can't wait for you to come back.
<3
more pictures please Hi Janice,
I really enjoyed your pictures; it helps give a better understanding of the beauty of country where you are staying.
I particularly liked the picture of you in front of the waterfall. Great shot.
I promise a better taco when you get home.
TTFN, Jim

I'm seriously crying over here . . . I don't know why, but I'm reading your entries at work (and I just saw the new pictures of yourself that you added to the first entry) and I can't stop tearing up. Ha. :*) I guess it's a mixture of missing you, being proud of you, wishing I was there with you . . .

Pura Vida Hello Jan,
So glad to hear from you even from a blog. Glad to know that you're getting along there OK in CR. As for us, it's been an OK June so far, we just finished hosting your Grandpa's memorial last Saturday - June 4, it was a good turn out.
Must have been 50 some people. Kim just started school at COD, Bong M is back with us from his trip to Seattle. Your Mom's getting a check up this Wed, on the 8th with Dr. Kawasaki.
Noel M is in Chicago to watch two Cubs games at Wrigley Field. guess what we saw him on live TV tonight. Should be coming to our house this Friday, 10th for a visit. Well that's it for now, have a great class(es)in San Joaquin.
Post some more, I wil be looking it up.
P.s. I don't know what Pura Vida means... - Pop
