Nice Pictures Hi, I just came back from Manuel Antonio myself. It's really cool to see you in El Avion where we ate most nights. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. If you are interested you can read about my experience in Manuel Antonio - Quepos at http://www.kevingleeson.com
Surprise!! Hey Janice - remember me? From the Somos Seis Team? Apparently Greg was doing some research for his own blog on Costa Rica and yours happened to come up on google first. He shared it with all of us. Just thought I'd say hey! It was really cool meeting you!! Hope God is blessing you as you are preparing to finish your time at U of I. Hasta luego chica!!
Hola Janicia I am glad you are back!!!!!!!!!!! can't wait to see you. oh, and what do you mean you are going to miss waking up at 6:50 and going to class. that's craziness
It's me again. *tearing up* I loved this entry. I read every word, and now I want to read it again. I might even print it out and read it on the way home. :\ You are an amazing, amazing woman, Jan. Really. I can't wait to see you . . . and we'll talk for hours. :*}
Hey janice, your trip sounded really cool. I'm glad that you had such a great time!!!! It's funny to think about it, I felt the same when I left Ecuador. I felt emotionless, but once I got home, I was a sad, thinking about Ecuador really hurt. I'm still recovering. But it's true what you say, God is always going to be there and we'll all reunite when the time comes. I'm happy your back!!! I'll call you!!! Welcome back!!!:)
Hey Janice Hey janice, wow sounds like God is showing you a lot. I can't imagine what you are going through. I miss you a lot, and I hope that you can share with me more of your experience when you get back
more than a vacation Hey hey Yaneec..just love the scenery, they seem too bright and colorful - tropical. I thought you were not going to the Carib coast! Glad you decided to go - now you can compare that with that of the Pacific. We're bracing ne:anticipating for your return, we noticed you lost some weight and tan, but your posts are very informative, reflective and incisive - I wonder where you got that from. :) Come home soon and re-load. Stay cool. Luv ya!
You're really learning so much Janice, your experiences there have added a whole new dimension in your life. What a privilege! We wanted you to learn, enjoy, and grow in the knowledge of Him through this study abroad program. God has answered those requests. As I read these journals, it is evident that your faith is growing. Thanks for sharing the pictures, interesting informations, and above all, your heart. We can't wait to have you back home. Love and miss ya...mom
Hi, my dear! Wow . . . you're coming home in about a week. Are you sad? Excited? A little bit of both? :} Well, I've loved reading all about your adventures and seeing all the pictures. I missed you sooo much when I came home, but . . . like I said, I hope to see you soon. I want to hear all about Costa Rica in person. :)
Perhaps this trip is worth more than expected... Janice, thank you for sharing your experiences! Thank you for your transparency and for your grasp of truth. I praise God that you are able to see the struggle and sacrifice of the people there. I am grateful that you are in situations where you are loving and living with people. These things are not easy to do. You remind me of similar experiences I have had in experiencing other cultures, whether overseas or here in Chicago. To experience diversity in cutlures and perspectives can be to experience the vastness of God. I marvel at the thoughts that pour from your mind, at the ways in which you interpret the reality there. i am excited that you believe in experiences leading and interweaving and culminating to another experience. I don't know what the next season for you will bring...you are certainly different now than you were before you left...what I do know, is that when you keep walking with your Best Friend, you will know what the next season is, and you will know His Will. I am currently developing a new school for Social Justice, which will open to 100 freshman this fall. It is so exciting! I will tell you more later. Love and Peace and Blessings and Favor,
angela

Auntie Nene and company left us early today and proceeded to NY to see Jing. They are staying at the hotel for 3 nights then head back to LA. Next visitors will be the Miquiabases on the 30th. You'll be home by then, Lord willing. Love ya.
Monteverde Tarzan is alive and well. You did it, what an adventure. Looks like it's the only way to "conquer" the rainforest. We had a wonderful family reunion last 7/2 and the baptism party of Tristin at Hillside on 7/3 both events were quite well attended but we can't top what you and your pals did at Monteverde. A condo unit might work out just fine. Did you check out the pics on the reunion and the Calif visit homepages? Cheers,
Pop
Great to hear from you again, FINALLY! Great stories and pictures; they make me feel like I'm almost there to experience the mudbath and the moisture. It's heartwarming and encouraging to hear about Jared and Yvonne. God is always at work especially when we are in tune with His will. Can't believe it's almost July 17th. We miss you so much! Love, Su Mama

hello Hi Janice! How are you? I hope you are enjoying yourself immensely in Costa Rica. Have you made many trips to the rainforest, or are you living in it? I have always been interested in wildlife so I'd love to hear about what kind of creatures you've spotted. Tell me how is your host family working out? Are they helping you with the language and your work?
Take care of yourself and have a wonderful time!
I will be home(Belleville, IL)all summer so you can reach me via email.
enjoy your trip,
Beth
