Back to Sydney
As you say working in foreign lands gives you opportunity to meet people from all over the world and become friends. It is sad when they move on but now the world seems smaller because of those friendships. Sounds like you had a good time in Sydney.

Re-entry is always a bit tricky
Hope you will blog about all the Olympic excitement. We were happy to be home for about 6 months. It was good sitting still for a while and reconnecting with friends and family. We did not travel nearly as long as you did. We began to get itchy feet again. Our first extended trip was in 2007 and we are leaving in about two weeks for 5 months. Can't wait. Embrace being back home and with family.

Awww Jen, I love reading about your trips and seeing your photos. Even if a trip is spent mostly by the pool with a book! :) Fiona is coming to visit me in Sweden in August -- pleeeaaaseee come too! I'd love to feature in your blog. What are you travel plans this summer? How are you? How is life as a badass Body combat instructor? Anyway, I can tell this requires a proper email soon (so much catching up to do) but lots of love!

Burbs and birds!
Love Sydney... and love escaping for the weekend too... so nice to read your blog Jen! The colourful bird is a Rainbow Lorikeet and we saw them all over Oz too - I know it's geeky but I actually bothered to learn the names :-) Looking forward to seeing you in July xxx

Buses in winter!
I am looking to go from El Calafate to Bariloche but at the beginning of July, and everything seems not to run then! Can you please give me, if any, some bus company names? And if not an airline that flys this route directly? Thanks!
27th May 2012

Hi - sure.. We used a few different bus companies. I think from Bariloche we used Andesmar. Flying is expensive - but try Aerolineas. I few South, and took buses on the way back North. There were plenty of buses when I was there. Hope that helps
