myn yffarn i! Your building huts and I'm stuck behind a mixing desk!....I hear they are shooting the new indiana jones soon, maybe you should pop along?.....live from west wales where, you guessed it, it is raining and damp and grey.....
at last I've been checking this every day and concluded that you must have been eaten. Very pleased to find otherwise. Have a great time. Missing you, you scumbag.
A memory of Chau Doc! To reminisce... when I passed through Chau Doc, a rain storm had just passed through. I was calmly waiting to get through the border, a little top heavy with my back pack on, and took a step forward in the queue only to fall flat on my front in the wet mud (literally, I had a mouthful of mud). Just as I got up and recovered... I fell flat on my back - 'you've been framed' could not have done it better! Hope the weather's treating you better than it did me! Have fun in Cambodia... don't shot any cows but climb some temples for me!
Hywel - I know SE Asia is a big place with lots of people... ...but if by some utter fluke you bump into two people called Tim and Lizzy from Norwich say hello - he's my best mate and they've recently got to Thailand before heading on to Cambodia, Laos and 'Nam...
Green eyed, red haired monster The more I read, the more jealous I become but in a gripped rather than repulsed type of way... I wonder if I will still be in my job by the time you get back?! Perchance, I may be on a plane to nowhere to build campfires with idigenous peoples... only kidding, I am still going out with Barnes after all :o)
I have dyed bits of my hair bright fire engine red to empathise with your adventures (red streaks sadly are the limit of my adventures nowadays) - luckily I haven't been fired yet. Barnes is convinced I've lost the plot and am in the midst of some mad rebellion/mid life crisis... luckily for him, I just fancied changing my hair!
Once again, I am so jealous of all the exciting things you guys are doing, and that you're doing them together! Keep up with the blog.
call this finding yourselves?? -where are the other 17 people sharing your hostel room? and the cockroaches?
-if u can find an internet, you wont be able to find yourself
-no pictures of lifelong friends you met whilst stranded for 17 hours on a broken down bus, surrounded by goats and chickens
-a worrying lack of ethnic beads
are u two really still in wales and have just photo-shopped some old pictures?
in the unlikely event you've actually left the country - hope the torches are useful!
you call this finding yourselves??!!! -call that a hostel. where are the other 17 people sharing that room? and the cockroaches?
- it's not finding yourself if u can still find the internet. get back to nature.
- a worrying lack of ethnic beads. call yourself travellers.
- no pictures of life long friends made along the way whilst stranded on a broken down bus surrounded by chickens and goats.
i am concluding you've actually photo-shopped some travel brochures and are actually still in wales.....
ps - did u remember the torches?
Hywel and Charlotte are heading off around China and South East Asia. Charlotte wants to see China before she starts her career, Hywel wants to see Vietnam now that he has ruined his. Should be fun! We'll try and keep this journal snappy...oh and if you are reading this from the confines of an office and are annoyed by our chirpy manner and care free escapades then a) Ha ha ha ! and b) Quit your job!
