Way Down South

We are about to embark on our 4th roadtrip across the good old U.S. Of A. We are southward bound. We will be going in the Spring instead of Summer this year because it gets too hot in the summer. We will be braving Disney at the busiest time.

We will be visiting 5 new states and revisiting 3 others. We will travel through, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennesee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia. We are using Orlando, Florida as our 5 night stay in the middle of our trip. We are visiting Disney, Epcot and Universal Studios from a different point of view this time. Our kids enjoyed it as toddlers and now we can see and do things for big kids. I am very excited. We are most excited about Harry Potter.

I have book all of our hotels mostly using Marriott points that we earn on a credit card. It works out great. We really like Marriotts. They are very consistent, clean and they have various levels of comfort. As a Gold member, they are very accommodating and we get special perks.

I am also booking activities on our route like airboat rides in the Louisiana Bayou and we are visiting at least 3 college campuses including seeing my nephew, Mitchell at the University of Alabama. If we have time, the World of Coke looked kind of fun. We shall see.
