Three months in Europe I have traveled all over the USA and have not had a better trip than what your blog provided, Paul! Itlay is my first love, but you made the other places you visited real for me and I will certainly (we will certainly) visit many of those places over the next few years! Before your trip and the fantastic descriptions you provided of your trip, I had not considered any other countries (then Italy) except perhpas Croatia...since your bloggin I am looking forward to Switzerland, Holland, france and even perhaps, England and the British Isles...Thanks for the engrossing expressions and impressions...
welcome home Welcome home Paul,
Thanks for sharing your adventure with everyone, I know Carla and I enjoyed every minute of it!
Hope to see you soon and talk about your trip.
John and Carla
You are awesome Just to say, that this has been so thrilling to see all the beautiful places you have been and seen and done. You are one lucky pup...What an education. Love you, see you inAug.....aunti..
Ahahahaha! Mario's closet. Godd. Laughed so hard at your jokes. It'll prb feel so good to be with a friend soon. Sometimes you just need a little piece of home to come to you, and then you feel awesome! Very cool. Schlinger loves sunsets too, you two should start a club!!!
Love ya!!!!
Unreal You make me think about how I could begin to plan to follow your example and get out there as you are doing. The best places are the places tourists normally never see. I admire your courage. Keep having fun and stay safe. Al
Ooo Awwwe! Very very cool. I'm so impressed that you're still going strong. It must have been so great to run into family friends!!! I bet they gave you some much needed comfort and energy to keep going and keep up your travels. Wonderful. We miss you and it all looks gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!
The pictures absolulty make up...I love reading these and am so happy you are having such an amazing time. I will hope for sunshine for you :) Love Sam
You are almost there! Hi Paul...can't wait to read your comments about Tuscany and Umbria when you get to it. If you think you are going to get to Umbria (perugia, assisi, etc) let me know by email and I will try to get you a place to stay there or at least an intro to someone who might be able to get you something "free"...well, almost free...
If you get to Tuscany (I guess I should say when) make sure you visit the vicinity known as Val d' Orcia...a truly picturesque area that has been painted and photographed endlessly.
Inspiring! I love all the tales of the good in people. So reassuring (esp when Suze is in your ear with tales of thievery...). All your pictures are just inspiring and gorgeous. it sounds like you're really having an adventure that we're all jealous of! Miss you lots, can't wait to hear more and see you in July!!!!
Amazing Paul,
I am so jealous! This trip of yours looks like it is amazing! I love getting a new blog notification! Just wanted to tell you :) Miss and love you
Beautiful! I'm loving every word of your blogs, while Logan just gets more and more pissed off (he's beyond jealous). I love the pic where you're jumping. So cool!
Awesome!! I have been to a lot of those places! Avignon, CDP, Toulouse! How cool! Sounds wonderful. Keep it coming- and thanks for the slightly vulgar, but every appreciated explanation of the underwear. ick.
P.S. Awesome Jump Shot, timed to perfection.
Love your blogging Hi Paul, I think what you are doing is just magnificent.. The opportunities for you are endless. You are so brave, yet, smart about what you are doing. Taking a disasterous moment and turning it around into a full fledged memory making moment, what talent that takes....
I love that I can travel thru Europe with you, seeing and feeling your adventures, your blogging is awesome. Thanks.
And I can so see you laughing hysterically at the flying jellyfish, rather than getting so mad and ruining your moments...
What fantastic memories you are making. I love that you get to meet so many different people, and experience their cultures, and converse with them however hard it may be.. And to experience talking to the children about being an American and telling your life, what a thrill.... Keep up the blogging, I am loving it. Be safe, my nephew, Love you..LeAnn
So cool Wow. Looks beautiful. I'm so so so so jealous! I want to drag Joe around (it would be too, I'd have him by the shirt sleeve running around and he would be like, wtf?). Anyway, miss you and so glad you updated. Glad you're meeting so many giving people too. It must be nice being so far away from home with good company. But one question, and I CANNOT be the only one wondering this... What the hell were you talking about an extra pair of undies for? So confusing... And strange...
I need to buy a ticket and join you, Paul ...what a fantastic experience you are having!!! I cannot help but think that you are living my dream (except for the camping). Someday in the not too distant future, Jeannie and I will be spending a few months in Europe...much of it in Italy, of course.
In the meantime your blog and others will have to suffice to feed my wanderlust.
the blog is great...keep them coming...
Really?? Seriously Paul, it sounds and looks like you're having the best time. I can say I'm jealous, but that word doesn't even describe it. I'm just so happy you're enjoying yourself and taking in all that life has to offer. We all miss you!! And of course, Happy Birthday!
Reality Check Getting a little big headed on this trip are we? Talented? Brillaint? Hunk? C'mon Paul... lets not get ahead of ourselves. Haha Looks great man. Envious is putting it lightly.
Happy B-Day Paul,
thank you for sharing your trip and experiences with us, (Carla and I) we are enjoying it greatly. I think there is the wandering soul in most of us that wish we had the opportunity and/or guts to do what you are doing. I am jealous and envious of the sights and experiences you are having. Know that when Carla and I read your blog it clears our mind and allows us to enjoy the moment in time you have talked about and that takes us out of our daily routine.
That is priceless and much appreciated. Enjoy the now and drink in the times (with the wine) you are in because very soon you will wonder where all the time went and wish you had experienced more!
Just be careful and be safe.
John
p.s., the one photo that has the caption "Hunk" confused me because I could not see any type of hunk anywhere? :)
All photos share your view and are fantastic, thanks for that. It helps complete the mental picture of your travels and the region.
God Bless!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Paul,
I love getting your blogs! I am so happy for you and this opportunity...just one more reason to admire you even more than I already do :) I hope thus far it is all you could have hoped for and more! I just wanted to write and wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! How lucky to celebrate your big day in Europe!!
Miss and love you!
Sam :)
Happy Birthday!! Great Blog Paul. And Happy Birthday!! We will have a toast to you this evening at The Cellar, so do the same wherever you are at. Love, Dad
Happy Birthday! Saweeeet! I forgot you're an April Baby! Happiest of birthdays friend. And how cool to be dining with a fellow connoisseur of wine and food. Wonderful. Go Rich baby go! Let's just hope this couch surfing thing works and that after the meal of your life, Richard doesn't do creepy things to you in the middle of the night... I really do hope it's legit because it does give me anxiety thinking about sleeping on the couch of a stranger. Kudos! Okay, again, happy birthday Paul! Love the blog (Nick and Suze's pictures fail in comparison to the actual blog- love you guys if you read that... whoops...).
i LOVE covent garden!! all the street performers and crazy things..i'm so glad you went! i seriously want to comment on every single thing i've read but then i'll just look like a crazy stalker of my "dancing" traveling European paul friend ;) lol but im SOO glad you got to go to Stonhenge! most amazing place ever! AND THAT GUY ON THE DIDGE WAS AMAZING!!
