WOW I just read all of your blogs and I'm getting the chills! They are great and I felt like I was there too! I just moved to Grecia, Costa Rica two weeks ago and was looking up the city of San Ramon and happened to click on a picture of your friend's house and your blog came up! Now I really want to visit Guatamala too! Thanks so much!
So Happy I'm so happy that your trip was so much fun and so interesting. My wife, the former Gwyneth Paltrow, and I just returned from a three week stay in Paris. We stayed at the George V which has lost a bit of cachet to these "minimalist" places but it still is great. As is Paris, as is Gyweth.

Thanks for including me on your travels Hilary,
I enjoyed reading of your adventures and comments on places in Central America that we too enjoy!
Please stay in touch and let me know if you will visit the SF Bay Area again. Perhaps you can stay with us or house-sit while we're traveling. Warm regards and bon retour!
Michal
P.S. My dear cousin, Karen Commanday and her husband, Jean Francois live just outside Paris in Tessancourt sur Aubette. She'd love to meet you and I think you'll enjoy them both-- Here's Karen's email if you want to get in touch: karen.jouannaud@free.fr

Eric and the Olympic torch Hilary, I wish I could have been at Eric's concert. I have just received my copy of his CD, L'odysée, and am listening to it in the car as I drive the 1 1/2 hrs from the city to the holiday house - I am just loving it - he is so talented. I will be visiting Portland in late September so maybe I will get to see him on stage then.
The demonstrations surrounding the Olympic torch are very much in the forefront of our news as our new Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, is visiting China at the moment and creating waves by making comments on the lack of human rights for the Tibetan people.
Looking forward to seeing you in Paris in early September.
Bravo for a Wonderful Blog Hello, Hilary,
Just a quick note to say that I, too, have read your blogs and viewed your photos. Bravo for keeping us informed of an amazing trip, solo no less, and bravo for your courage! We all admire you and wish you safe journey home to Paris. Next time, plan to spend time in NYC.
Bon retour and bisous galore,
Lana
Super trip and super travelogue! We'll be glad to have you back! What an amazing trip. I loved hearing about the places, your adventures, and your photos are terrific. I'll have to come and have a lesson in technology, because you seemed to have time to log on pretty often. When I was in Japan and Korea last year, it always seemed as if people were waiting in line for the computer.
We don't have snow here, although a few flakes fell last week. Still cold, but there are a few signs of spring--like the flowers. Welcome home. Shirley
Have a good return trip Dear Hilary,
Have a good trip back home! after all your travelling that must seem like just a small hop! Be prepared for cold and grey weather in Paris, though maybe it will be better by next week! Thanks for sharing your trip, it's been really lovely to follow. And your photos are wonderful! Hugs, Birthe

Hats, Temples & Steps Just LOVE the photo of you in front of the Temple. You look so young and so happy. What an amazing place - good for you for taking on the challenge of all those steps. Have a safe journey home.
Flowers and Music I loved your photos of the flower carpets - what a fascinating tradition. Wont be in Paris for Eric's concert but am very much looking forward to listening and sharing his CD when it arrives downunder.
reminds me of Honduras I remember an Easter in San Pedro Sula with a vibrant procession. The carpets in your photos are lovely!
When are you coming back to SoCal?

Catching up on your blog. You've come a long way from la ville de Quebec!
Love the shots of the thermal pools and the continental divide. Reminds us of a chairlift in the Rockies near Banff that crosses the divide from Alberta and drops skiers on a summit on the B.C. side. Looking forward to seeing you in Paris mid-April.
Bises.

Costa Rica Info Hi. stumbled on your blog in my search for information on costa rica vacation. I ran across this link. I'd like to ask if you encountered anyhting like this on your stay? Is this what really happens? Thanks so much!
BTW, Your photos look really pretty! Im excited for a vacation now!
Paradise What truly beautiful places you have discovered - I loved the photo of the highly colourful bird attached to your last blog. You are one of the lucky ones to see all this natural beauty before it is lost. You will be sad that your time there is coming to an end. I expect Quebec will be freezing. I have actually just ordered Eric's CD - am very much looking forward to hearing all of it - I really loved the sample on his website. Stay safe - have fun.
Eden forever A force de te balader d'un paradis à l'autre, tu vas trouver le reste du monde infernal, et ton retour à Paris va être un choc. Prépare toi au pire!
Bises,
Bernard
wonderful blogs Hilary - your blogs have been so interesting to read, and really great pictures. You have such a busy schedule, we don't know how you have time to keep us up to date. We are making notes of the places you recommend and can't wait to make our own trip. Happy travelling - Caroline and Nick
Hi. I'm starting a new blog for this year's trip. First, I'll be leaving Paris at the end of January to go and see my son Marc and his girlfriend Marlene in Quebec City. The Carnaval will be going on while I'm there. Then, it's down to Boston for a few days and to catch my flight to Guatemala. Looking forward to writing about my experiences down there.... full info
