dogs are allowed in lots of places here, and we met several being walked that day. I noticed that they aren't welcome many places in NZ, not much point having one if you can't go for a nice walk.

Happy Birthday, Alex!! Your meal looks yummy!! We hope you have a great birthday on Sunday, Alex. Sorry to hear that Gwen's shoulder is no better, and hope there is relief in sight. We shall telephone them again very soon.
Bathroom Love the new bathroom. Very Stylish. Looking forward to redoing our bathroom in the not too distant future. Have to get the husband home for longer than one week at a time though. A big job - maybe for the Christmas holidays.
Love to you all in Wales
new job Congratulations on your new job. You look very smart behind the counter.
Good work with the woodsheed Alex. I have ditched the wood fire at home and gone for gas. Much less work, and a lot cleaner.
Love to all
Well, you look VERY smart.. Carrie -and that smile - wow ; are you the official liquor TASTER as well as vendor????????????????? Good on you Alex : I bet you really enjoy that wood-cutting job.
What a nice day out! Looks like you had a good day out together! It was interesting to see a bit of your local area and I liked the photo of Alex chopping up the tree - are you going to have a bonfire??
Uncle Roy Did Uncle Roy go with you too?? Aunty Gwen looks well. I showed my mum Paddy the blog recently and she enjoyed seeing the pics of Aunty Gwen's birthday.

coracles i think they're made of willow frame, covered with tarry paper. Very thin anyway, and no-one is allowed to touch them except the owners, in case a finger makes a hole!
Coracles Hey!! Carrie! Those coracles are very "up-market" ! I seem to remember the time when they were made of reeds or rushes daubed with clay !!!! Maybe they all leaked and sank. (maybe they were made from skins, after all?) The modern ones look much better. Lovely idea to have the day on the canal. I would love to do the trip to London!! Shame it is so far away!
